Where does the Doctor stand to you guys?

Doc is the mid of all killers, he is without a doubt the best tracking killer, he is addon reliant, has average chase potential and a average map pressure.
He is one of the killers that can use most perks of the killer pool, has many builds, is amazing on small maps and is annoying as f**k.
Overall he's okay, some tweaks can make him better.

He's high tier. At being annoying and dropping FPS.7

I honestly feel like Doctor is an efficient killer. He has great advantage over the survivors, sometimes it scares me how much but he's a really good killer to me if you know what you're doing with him. How about ya'll? I never really see anyone talk about him or Trapper on forums.:chuffed:
Ya'll ..... YOU ALL
Anyways. Overall the doctor is pretty strong I find, not many survivors use a perk slot up to run Calm Spirit so locating survivors and pressuring them works quite well.

He's aight.

I loathe playing against doctors. They have immense tracking ability, and usually have zero chill.
He's pretty solidly a killer I'd like to avoid.
Playing as him seems ok, but I haven't, seriously.2 -
I think he's good but without the addons to increase shock therapy range he seems pretty useless to me

He's a solid average to me. He's 4.6 with a decent power. Some ability to stall the game, some ability to track, some ability in a chase. He's the vanilla of killers in my eye. Well rounded, but not the best at any one thing. If someone knows what they're doing, he's pretty good though.
Definitely not bad, but I think if you want a specific thing, you can find better options elsewhere. Like a hillbilly will serve you better in chase ability/pressure, for example, but you'd lose your tracking and stalling ability.

He's really sub par and really only useful for farming. His power is as much as a hindrance to him as it is to the survivors since it slows him down and just forces the survivors to hit skill checks. He's add on reliant just to function. He has no real map control and not many ways of gaining momentum unless survivor play dumb. Main issue with playing him is the laggy animations on swapping powers and how if you don't hold on the exact timing you could miss out on a hit. His ability pretty much gives survivors a free premonition of where he's looking at and how far away he is. Essentially he's melee huntress but way way way weaker.

I love him...he is my go to.
I run an end game 3 gen strategy and love it. It takes FOREVER and I consistently get complaints about how drawn out the game was. Then again, I get frequent comments about how fun it was (even in 4ks). You can't camp and can't tunnel so that probably helps.
I run NOED and literally never get complaints post game about it.
Jeff has thrown things off a bit because I find myself sometimes unable to hook, so I slug more now, which makes for more obnoxious noises going off.
Overall, he is my favorite killer. If I can keep my 3 gens somewhere close by, I almost never lose.
And throw in his kings add-on and you can usually tell when survivors are getting impatient or confused...indoor maps the sometimes run into you, same as stealth Myers lol.
If you get a close indoor map...it's is a ton of hectic fun!
I love him!

I honestly only use shock therapy to prevent vaults and pallet drops. Distressing, Overcharge, Unnerving Presence, and whatever 4th perk you want(Ruin, Dying Light, BBQ, PGtW). Then get the Order and Calm add ons and you can just wander around and will typically have at most 2 gens completed most games.

I had a SWF who screwed their gen placement on one of the coldwind maps and basically had the last 3 all in a triangle and it literally took about an hour and one of them tried to sacrifice herself so they could do the gens, but that didn't work. They got RIDICULOUSLY lucky and found a purple key in a chest and finally got out.

As a survivor main, I hate playing against him. He is not the most difficult, I just don't enjoy it. Same with Freddy as well.3

Most survivors are utter crap against him and once I know it's him I usually hope he comes for me, but no way to really control that. Then when he does come either he gives up and never comes after me again or stays on me the whole match and I get nothing done in terms of objectives.

If Freddy and Legion didn't exist, he would be the worst killer in the game. He's just a M1 killer with a ginormus terror radius.

For those who say he's entirely reliant on add-ons, what add-ons would you best recommend for him?1

Don't forget if the gates are close your never getting out of them0

Calm increase your Terror Radius while on Treatment mode and decrease in Punishment mode.
Order increase the madness inflicted by the static field.
This is the best strat for Doc since you can cover a higher area with your static field and increase survivors is madness at the same time.Restraint lets you see the aura of the illusionary Doctor for a longer time, revealing the location of the survivor by looking at the direction the illusion is facing.
Discipline increase madness inflicted by the shock therapy.
The electrodes increase the range of the shock therapy, but it increases the charge time.Iredescent King is probably one of the best ultra rare add-ons, it gives a random affliction of the add-ons Restraint, Discipline, Order, Obedience and Calm.

Usually on the other side of the screen. @DocOctober knows what I mean.

I have made Calm Spirit a perk I never take off, just in case I’m facing him.2

I ######### HATE the Doctor. Whoever thought making something that's boring more annoying (skill checks) was an idiot.

Doctor's a mid tier Killer. He has decent map pressure, decent chase potential, and great tracking. However, his shock therapy is too weak without add-ons currently and it needs some buffs. I would give him at least a 25% increase to his shock range (it is way too small currently), a movement speed increase while charging his shock (it would be at least 100%), and remove or shorten the shock delay. His illusion could use a small change as well (not sure if this would be a QoL change or a buff). When on maps with multiple floors like The Game, the illusion will appear on the same floor that the Survivor is on. If they are on the bottom floor, then the illusion will appear on the bottom floor, not the top (it's really confusing especially when they don't scream because I'm thinking they're on the same floor as me when they aren't and the illusion keeps spawning on the top floor instead of the bottom for some reason). After these changes are implemented, then I think Doc will be at the level of Billy, Hag, Spirit, and Huntress.

Doc is an okay killer but he gets a bad reputation due to all the people who run the disgusting 3 gen build on him and drag out games for ages.

I've had multiple 0k or 1k games turn into a 4k because the Survivors gen rushed and didn't watch their gen placement. Try to have two gens on one side and one on the other. That way, the Doc has to run all the way to the other side of the map to continue his patrol. Now, if you're talking about players taking three gens that are close together and choosing to guard them all game instead of chasing down the Survivors and checking the other gens, then I can understand your complaint. Not only is that really boring, but it can also be classified as taking the game hostage, which is a bannable offense.

I love those games! It gets so tedious but I go into it expecting that so it's not so bad. I know it pisses off survivors but I have had for swf sacrifice themselves and the coordinate that last gen.
That's where NOED shines. Once you are down to two, you can quickly slug that 3rd, then, unless they made a beeline for the exits (and they never do!), The 4th is easy to track and hook.
It's my favorite way to play!

Yeah that's what I'm referring to, it isn't the killers fault if the survivors have bad gen placement, just the annoying docs who will hit you once then run back towards the generators when you run away.

It works SO well and you would be surprised how many times I get comments in post game chat that are positive. I think it's because it involves no camping or tunneling.

If the chase is taking too long, then I'll go back and check on the gens to make sure they aren't close to completion before resuming the chase. I'm not going to just let you guys repair the last gen and escape. I always put the Survivor in Madness 3 so I have an easier finding them again. If the gens haven't been touched or have barely progressed, then I'll just quickly check the surrounding area or use Overcharge on the gens before leaving to continue chasing the other Survivors. If the gens have some progression on them, then I'll kick them and check the area more carefully before leaving. I didn't pay $30 to look at three machines. I want to kill some Survivors!
