The Trickster's title makes no sense
Am I just missing something? I've read his lore and played as/against him plenty of times. But I've never seen a reason for his namesake.

Trickster was his stage name if i remember correctly

I've noticed some of his add-ons refer to him as The Showstopper. Maybe there is another killer in the works who is actually Tricky and they just mixed up some of the stuff.

It was the stage name he had when he peformed knife throwing tricks at his family's restaurant as a child, before his becoming of an idol.
It's non-indicative of his power, but so are several other Killers' such as Nurse, Doctor and Blight.

That makes sense, but I've always hated him being called Trickster. It makes him sound like he's a prankster of sorts, think of Loki, that sort of thing. But nah, he just throws knives. Very "trickster".

He is tricking people into believing he's just an ordinary pop star.
He tricked his audience into thinking No-Spins members died in an accident, rather than purposeful negligence.
He tricks Yun-Jin (at first) to accept his popularity, despite her misgivings and doubts.
Tbh he's one of the creepier Killers. Popularity and celebrity status can give people "free passes" at committing atrocities.

Yeah. From what we see in game clown is more skilled with a knife than trickster is

This is part of why I think knife ricochet should be basekit for him. It’d make more sense that he’s doing trick shots with his knives.
