Killers | Take the sacrifice, you earned it

Introduction

I'm not sure if I'm the only one who does this, but whenever I face a baby killer or a skilled killer who just got unlucky in general, I usually let them sacrifice me. They deserve at least a 1K for trying, but 90% of the killers don't want to sacrifice me when I'm literally pointing at the hook.

They will down me, pick me up, then drop me at the gates. I don't want to wait for the EGC to sacrifice me since it's slowed, so I follow their wishes and leave.

This is common with Nurses, Tricksters, Huntresses, and an Oni. Other killers do it too, but I see these killers just don't want a free sacrifice.

I don't understand, this is the equivalent of me as the killer, giving you the hatch. When I try to do the survivor equivalent, why don't killers accept it?

I do this all the time and it's annoying how they keep insisting on dropping me on the gates lol.

I do this sometimes too. Along with giving them my item. It's feels great to be nice to the killer.

Pitty kills? Pitty escapes? Why is EVERYTHING taken out of context, I'm just trying to be nice. I can't make it anymore obvious than pointing at a hook, there's no communication between the killer and survivor.

Eventhough as Killer I usually let survivors escape, as Survivor I never give killer free kill, its because Survivor's BP is low if you're not escaping.

I will sometimes do this if it’s super obvious that the killer is brand new, or if they got absolutely no hooks that match (sometimes if they had no kills but have had only one or two hooks). The killers usually don’t take me up on it, which is OK. It’s up to them if they want to or not.

Why is this a big deal? If they don't want to kill you they don't have to. Maybe they don't want a kill they don't feel they earned. Maybe they were intentionally planning not to kill anyone from the start, which I have done many times. Sometimes I just want to go into the match to have fun and chase survivors or do a challenge that doesn't require me to kill them and I want them all to escape. In those times, if the survivor runs up to the hook and points at it for me to hook them and I know they are on death hook, I just shake my head no.

If you want to wait out EGC and die, that is your choice. If not, just leave like you have been and accept that they didn't want the kill.

I’m not calling you out or anything like that. I understand that you are trying to do something nice and I 100% respect that. I’m just trying to give you some advice on that you should do it in a way that still makes the other side feel like they deserve the kill/escape. That is all.

They might get fake up-ranks and get harder matches, when they should be getting a 0K, downranking, and getting easier matches.

It's not, I'm simply just asking why. I'm just trying to be nice. I don't understand why I'm getting all kinds of hate just for posting this when I'm just trying to do a nice act.

It really depends, but i do give the sacrificy every now and then, especially when i had the feeling the killer had a tough match (bad rng, clicky clicky teammates etc)

When i play in a team and the killer did not get (m)any hooks, we often used to give the killer some free hooks at the end of the game... but that backfired a few times already so we reduced that.

How through? I can only emote, unless you want me to invite them to a discord call and tell them they can have it.

I wouldnt take pity kill nor would I offer one, especially when killer is not interested and obviously just want me to ######### leave already and get into the next match

I agree it's the survivor equivalent to giving hatch, but I usually let them go out of selflessness, if they attempt to let me kill them if I played horribly. However, I admire their choice of trying, and give them a nice "thanks" in the endgame chat if they're on PC.

I don't see anyone giving you hate. I see people questioning why it is important to you that someone doesn't want to kill you when you want them too and people suggesting possible answers to your question. It really doesn't matter what your intent with trying to give the kill is. If they killer doesn't want to take it, they don't have too.

  • Because it's pity. It's very dumb... it's a ######### killer not some person who goes around giving free hugs

People are saying I'm giving the killer petty kills, then we have you saying I'm forcing it upon the killer to sacrifice me. I'm not, I'm just asking a question about why killers don't want to sacrifice me then you're saying things like "The killer doesn't have to sacrifice you" implying that I'm forcing the killer to sacrifice me when I'm not. I'm just asking a question, holy crap, just answer the question without negatively assuming things about me.

Why is that so hard? 😭

They probably don't think you deserve to die

I'm not negatively assuming anything about you, you are falsely putting intent into my comments. I am also not saying you are forcing the killer to take your kill because you can't force the killer to take your kill unless you stay till the EGC runs out, which you said you don't. I am saying you tried to give them a kill and they refused. It is their right to choose not too. So why does it matter?

People have given you suggestions why they might not want it. They might not want it because like I said I do, they may have been intending to not kill anyone. They might not want it because they feel they didn't earn the kill and see it as a pity kill. By the way, saying it is a pity kill doesn't in any way say you are a terrible person. It is not bad to pity someone, which is having a feeling of sorrow or compassion for someone else's misfortune. Some people just don't need or want the friendly gesture you are trying to offer.

Cosidering you literally start the thread saying "baby killer" I doubt you do it for them because you care about their fun or feelings. Seems to me like this is about you since you enjoy that condescending superiorty sense and virtue signaling to the point you even made a thread in the forum to tell everyone what a good guy you are for giving an insulting free kill to someone who had a bad match.

If they won't accept just leave. Killers should also kill if survivors won't take the hatch.

Are you referring to them giving you the escape and you want them to take the earned kill instead? Because if that's the case then I believe I read the post wrong.

I think killers want kills that they feel they actually earned and not just given to them.
