Nintendo Switch Videos
So I heard that this is ‘temporary’ the video saving option on switch but it’s kinda unfair. I feel like BVHR favors PC most and than PS4 along w XBOX. IDK about mobile, I never played but I’m sure they don’t get a lot either but I might be wrong. Aside that, all consoles and PC can save clips but Switch players can’t…Why? Either give it to everyone or don’t. Simple

1) Switch players can save clips up to 15 seconds, and can save multiple clips in quick succession.
2) This is a global Switch thing, not a Dead By Daylight thing. Bring this up with Nintendo, not BHVR.

tbh, I wish I could get a refund on everything I spent on Switch. The game is nowhere near what I paid for when I originally bought it. It looks absolutely terrible. At the very least, I'd like the BP I spent.

The Switch's CPU is too weak to be able to record gameplay in long sessions while also running a full game.

exactly. therefore is in no way a bhvr issue

You could do this, but they disabled it in 5.1.0 to improve performance.

It has nothing to do with PC DBD specifically. You can do a lot of multitasking type of things in the background while DBD is running. It's in the nature of PC gaming. That's another reason why PC is MASTER RACE!
Of course you can do this with consoles and even Switch too. Just buy the hardware for it.

There's no video recording function within DbD itself. Recording video is a native Switch function. The DbD devs said that the Switch constantly recording video in the background worsened the game's performance, so they disabled it.
I wish they'd given players the option of disabling it rather than just doing it and leaving us with no choice. I haven't seen any improvement in performance; it's only gotten worse.

Yeah I see no difference.

I think they disable this option. Before 5.1 it was possible to save video clips but after that not. Maybe a performance thing?

They disabled it to enhance the game's performance, or at the very least, attempt to. Doesn't seem like it did much though.
It's the same situation that happened with Fortnite on Switch, they disabled Switch video capturing on it to "enhance" the game's performance.
