killers, if you are going to come back to hook why even leave? (rant)
seriously, if you are that determined to ruin my game why leave? why not just stand there and watch me die. its pathetic, and before you say that "i dont come back just to tunnel you" then why do you ignore all the people taking hits and ######### going solely after me? i dont understand.

Yeah, I've heard so many arguments from some who see nothing wrong with this behavior it's why I wish they didn't have notifications for hooks for killers. Also wish there was something to stop people hook camping as well as tunneling.

The first thing is context can say much of anything without that how many gens were left, Did they truly come straight back, also did your teammate unhook while the killer was still in earshot? Answer these and I can give you an answer. You may not like the answer but I can give you one.

Because I return to the hook to find someone to chase if I haven't seen them already. If you're the most recently unhooked person and you're all I can see, I'll leave you to vibe on the ground because I feel bad. If this happens again I will genuinely just ignore you; I don't want to tunnel someone, but if I know people will be at the hook and I've found nobody else I'll go back there in hopes of seeing someone.
Usually it works, so does ignoring the unhooked unless they prevent me going forward with bodyblocks. That's the only time I'll voluntarily tunnel.

Killers come back to the hook, for the same reason survivors come back to a progressed gen.

- They went off looking for another target, with the best intentions, but found no one, so they panicked, returned to the hook for a more guaranteed target, and once you were rescued, as the only injured survivor, you were the most appealing target.
- They feigned leaving the hook to encourage a hook rescue, just so they could immediately hook you a second time.
Both are possible, and you'll never know which once it was in this case.

Context is key if there was only one gen left and Duke was the only person they had hooked that game then yeah I can understand why they would go straight back when Duke was unhooked, Also like get over it? don't let these things spoil your game also there is a punishment for true camping your sacrifice score starts to drop the longer you stay by the hook, also your teammates should gen rush the hell out of the killer if this happens, from what I can gather though it doesn't seem like the killer was truly camping they might have seen scratch marks and where like "well there is another survivor around here better have a look around"
Killers are not there to make sure you have fun they are there to do one thing and one thing only to kill you, it is not their responsibility nor should it be for you to have fun, that is on you, and you only.

5 gens left, did not bm them in any way, no they did not unhook in direct earshot. and yes they come back every damn time. its been happening to me for like 3 weeks straight.

GBK here hit the nail on the head this is often how killers work, it is very rare for someone to truly tunnel, and again I stress "IT IS NOT THE KILLER'S JOB TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE FUN THAT'S YOUR JOB!"

well when i dont even get to ######### move before im getting tunneled basically every game after doing not a goddamned thing to instigate it excuse the ######### out of me if im not having fun, i mean its like i didnt even get a chance to or something.

You get over the fact that it's a poor tactic? Have you ever had a game of being hook camped or tunneled? It's not fun and ruins the match for that player..
Games are meant to be fun and not toxic fests of having to deal with man children who tunnel and camp you then be dbags about it at end chat just because they can.

Did your teammates take advantage of you getting tunnel and rush gens? if the answer is no then well that's their bad, not the killers, yeah it can be frustrating to get tunneled or camp, but again it's not the killer's job to make sure you have fun they are trying to win just as much as you are.
Do you think killers like it when we get body-blocked flashlight-blinded pallet stunned or DSed into no hooks? the answer would be no but we put up with it because it's all part of the game, sometimes it's better to just let it go than hold a grudge because you lost, Keep Calm and Carry on my friend.

when the game has just started and you are hard tunneling me i disagree, you are deliberatley trying to ruin my experience. and no why should i? i am playing a video game and thus deserve a ######### chance to even have fun.

You don’t deserve anything. It’s a PvP game. The killer is there to kill you, not hold your hand and make sure you have fun. You make your own fun by playing better. If you are getting outplayed that’s not on them.
This is like those killers who come onto this forum and complain about survivors doing gens.
Why shouldn’t the killer try to end the game as fast as possible? Not only does it make sense from a competitive standpoint but the emblem system itself rewards the killer for winning with as many gens up as possible.
If you are getting focused out that early play better. It’s really that simple.

i do understand that these things are frustrating, i play both sides. it just feels extremely ######### to be singled out like that AT THE START OF THE MATCH for zero reason, didnt t bag or clicky or point or any of that #########, because i play killer and know how frustrating it feels to be bullied like that. its just ######### to realize that even though i dont try to ruin their fun by being a toxic cunthole they feel the need to do it to me completley unprovoked.

I think a lot of people forget that Killers can be just as toxic as survivors, it's just there's more survivors than the killer so the probability of them being toxic is higher.

Neither do I. Baby killers like to make excuses for why they do these things. Also I love how he says why shouldn't a killer try to end the match as fast as possible that's hilarious. You earn next to nothing in blood points ending it as fast as possible and are more likely to de-pip that way.

They are not ruining your fun they are just doing their level best to kill you, if you truly played both sides then maybe you would understand, Killers are not your friend yes it sucks I have been there but I didn't blame the killer for doing their job, Hell it happened recently in fact when I ran a Ghostface for a couple of gens and when he finally caught me dude camped and tunneled me hard was I mad? no, I thought it was funny because he was that mad at me for running him that long that he had to get me out then and there.

It really is. I play survivor all the time and I never complain about anything the killer does.
Especially the situation you are talking about. The killer chasing you first, when you have ~the entire map~ full of pallets to work with. If you are going down at 5 gens so easily the problem exists between your monitor and your chair.

You guys aren't really listening, are you? Sometimes a killer just wants a quick match and they don't care about the blood points what's wrong with that? Or because you don't get the blood points you want, you get mad I don't get it. Maybe just live and let live? Also, it's not always baby killers that do it sometimes there are tactical advantages to Tunneling and camping,
for a good example of a Tactical camp you just down and hooked a survivor at the end game far from any door, it is to your advantage to stay with the hooked survivor because more than like their teammates will come for the save if not well at least you got 1k.

- Quick matches are boring and you may as well not bother playing if you don't have time
- It's not tactical it just means you're bad at this game and the only way you can get kills is by camping people. If you think ruining a game for others is fun perhaps get yourself checked by a psychiatrist because you may be a narcissist.

Yes, that includes the killer, sometimes some people have more fun with quick matches,
as for point 3, nobody is trying to ruin the game for anyone else (Trolls aside) if you think that maybe you are the one that needs their head checked honestly it's so sad that people think that other people should be responsible for their own fun if you aren't having fun that it's no the killer's problem that's, a you problem, You have to be in charge of your own fun nobody is here to entrain you especially not in PVP if you don't like that thought then maybe don't play PVP games?

i have over 2000 hours in the hillbilly and another 1000 in huntress. its amusing to me how "this post proves i have no killer experience" i play mostly survivor, sure because i enjoy the chase, that being said i dont enjoy being focused for some arbitrary reason you decide in your own skull.

A large proportion of survivors who complain about tunnel and camp do what when they play killer: tunnel and camp. Most survivors are hypocrites. Just check their steam profile and most of the time you will see the "tunneler camper" comments there.

No one is trying to ruin the game for others? What about facecampers? I'm pretty sure they are and most of them will brag about it in post game chat in fact most campers and tunnelers I've dealt with were dbags in end game chat making it sound like they were so great cause they could facecamp me.

They are usually the ones throwing a fit though. Had someone calling me pathetic for some Basement Bubba action, but like, it is a challenge? Pinhead ain't going to pre farm himself. All those weird disconnects just mean I have to go and ruin more games. But survivors are so selfish that they never even consider that, now do they?

Well then i take that back. Still hard to believe that youve never gone back to hook, tunneled or did anything else against the survivor rulebook. Even "friendly" killers like Otz or Scott Jund do it, and admit that its often necessary. If you really dont do it and still win most of your games in red ranks then you are a god. Thats actually impressive. Im just a normal human and cant play perfect so i sometimes rely on "scummy" plays.

Eh I get plenty of hooks in basement without camping or tunneling I even got the achievement for getting was it 3 or 4 people hooked at the same time there? I know there was a multiple survivors at the same time achievement.

Because they check on gens and if they dont find survivors then they come back to the hook because they cant find anyone else

Yeah, I just got that one tonight too, wasn't expecting that. But clearly it was going well. Ha ha ha.
I am kind of speed running because I need to do dozens of challenges before his launch. I genuinely do not have time to spend a lot of games doing them. I have let more people go than not just to speed up the process. But that one time I need some hooks? They disconnect before I can place them there. Fancy that!

when i first started perhaps, but i stopped when i realized if they are competent its not an effective strategy. i do understand sometimes it is nessecary, but every single game? for a month? cmon man try not to choke on all that "hurr survivors bad"

Huh? It is more effective the more competent they are. It is literally just a numbers game... Like, this is objective fact.
If you can get away with your style, cool. But you know, tunneling is basically always going to be more efficient.

Survivors, if you're going to complain about everything a killer does, why not play killer yourself, run into an actual good team, and find out how much of a frustrating experience it is?
The killer is not your friend. They are not there to babysit you and make sure you have a fun game. They are there to kill you. How they do it is up to them.
Would you, as a survivor, stop doing gens for 30 seconds for no reason whatsoever? Of course you wouldn't. So why should the killer stop trying to kill you?
If you get camped or tunneled, move on to the next game. If it gets too frustrating, find another game to play, because at that point, why are you even playing this game? What exactly is your motivation to keep playing when you seem to think you're going to get camped or tunneled every game?

ill admit this was mostly a rant, im angry its been happening for over a month. there is one guy in particular i know for a fact is doing it purposefully because i beat him and his ego cannot handle that.
