Or can you use by itself on a Flashlight without adding a battery addon?

    You can use it by it self, it just makes the Flashlight last 25% longer

    The reason why many people use the green battery with it is because thats the longest lasting flashlight there is (When using a purple flashlight, otherwise double bat is better I believe)

    The battery on the addon description refers to the Flashlight's batteries, not the addons.

    You can use the addon without a battery addon.
