Blast Mine tell on a generator.
Okay so, for anyone who doesn't know, whenever Blast Mine is active on a generator, a little flashbang appears at the top for survivors, which is a pretty neat touch. I've never known if this is the case for killers or not, so I went combing through some old recordings and found this clip of me being hit by Blast Mine (I made it a gif so it would function properly):
So, I opened up the video and went into an editing software to go through it frame by frame to see if it was present.
As you can see from this one specific frame, it is not.
So either, somewhere along the way it became bugged for killers (as it's definitely still there for survivor), or it was never there to begin with.
But, in conclusion, as killer there is no tell if a generator is under the effects of the perk Blast Mine.

Isn't it that little thing sitting on top of the gen the blast mine? I know it's hard to see but maybe they could just increase the size of the model for it at least a little.

What you're talking about is the fuel cap that vibes there. If we compare the two images, we can see that there's space for the grenade and it's missing.

Well, then they should just add a model to it for both sides then. The perk is already overkill.

Seems fair to me. Perk would be useless if the killer could avoid it just by looking at it. I like using blast mine to get 'stun killer x # of times" challenges out of the way. (and for the ones that are stun/blind they count twice!)

I wasn't sure if they did or not and nobody seemed to be able to give me a yes or no answer, so I made this post in case other people were wondering.

Yes. The whole point is Blast Mine AND Repressed Alliance. When the killer tries to waltz across the map to use pop they get stunned. Then you sneak up and block the gen. Wasting their pop and their time. Doing this means you’re getting tunneled, and even face camped. So I suggest having Sprint Burst, and Fixated/Urban ready. 😂

Did you know Blast mine actually stuns the killer for 4 seconds instead of 3?
That extra second seems like an eternity.

I don’t even know. The flash is fast but it feels like the stun lasts 5 seconds. Like being DSed or pallet stunned. It’s long enough for me to creep up, and activate Repressed. I even get a couple of feet away before the killer realizes what’s happening most times.
I got tunneled, put into the basement, and face camped by a Clown in Ormond after I successfully pulled it off. The others lived though. Hilarious. 😂

Except that they still can't kick the gen for the duration, even when they really need to, without getting blinded and stunned. It's guaranteed time waste whether you fall for it or not.
