What's The Point of Hex Totem Since is Can Be Easily Destroyed by Survivor
Lol, please explain to me, what the point of Hex Totem if your power can be destroyed by survivor LOL. Please please explain to me as a noob. No logic explanation, you bring ruin, devour hope or any other hex totem but thats perk can be destroyed. But as survivor no matter of perk you bring, it will repeatly can be used as long as you in the game. This game is a joke

Because they're incredibly powerful perks. If Devour Hope was just a regular perk, it'd be overpowered as hell. Same with Ruin. Some of them don't need to be hexes, like Blood Favour, but most earn their Hex imo.
They exist so killers can have powerful perks without them being overpowered.

High risk, high reward baby! Some people enjoy that play style ^^

but RNG totem is so [BAD WORD] terrible, even your best hex spawning beside of generator and survivor. The burn totem event is located on a hill and can look away easily. Why spawn RNG so [BAD WORD]. I make a quick experiment with powerfull 3 Hex Totem : Ruin, Devour Hope, Undying, and Noed and wow. all totem destroyed during mid of the game 😪

Because they have really powerful effects like instadowns and automatic double regression?

It's a high risk, high reward style of play.
Personally, I don't use Hex Totems. With spawn locations being RNG and still (usually) a #########-show, I don't bother with the Hex style of play in DbD.

Interesting how your NOED totem is gone midway through the game, when the perk only activates during the Endgame.

As a killer you know where your hexes are - you need to apply pressure to keep the survivors away from your totems. Decent survivors will cleanse totems because 1. Hex perks are powerful and can easily make a match favor the killer (especially Devour Hope) and 2. survivors also will cleanse any dull totems to avoid... NOED.
If you catch a survivor by one of your hexes - tunnel them out of the game. Contrary to what some killer mains will say - most matches you are facing solo survivors who won't be able to say "Hex totem is by the big rock by killer shack." Will the survivor whine because you tunneled them...maybe, but who cares? You have to defend you perk/hex totem. Disclaimer - I do not tunnel, but it is a valid playstyle - just not something I do personally, but hey if that's what you feel you need to do - do it. There is nothing saying you have to "play nice" as killer - your job is to sacrifice survivors... and if that means doing whatever you need to do to defend your perk/hex - who cares what anyone else thinks.

thats mean they destroyed all 5 totems during mid game

Did you bring Thrill of the Hunt? How else would you know they cleansed all five totems by mid-game, when only three of your four hex perks would notify you they were cleansed? And you, of course, couldn't bring Thrill if you had NOED, Ruin, Devour, Undying.

Final gen was repaired and NOED didn't activate = it was cleansed mid game.

You´re kidding... right? Hex perks being powerful? All except Devour are mediocre at best.

I dont think that every Hex is worth beeing a hex or very powerful, but Ruin is definitly the best Hex and possible still one if not the best killer perk. Even on tournament level its quite standard.

Ruin being used on Tournaments isn´t a sign of being strong. Its a sign that killers struggle with gen speed at take everything that might net them even a few more seconds.

well blood favor has to be a hex, give something for adept blight.

Hexes are good on mobile/trap killers that can actually protect them. Spirit. Nurse. Blight. Hag. Trapper (The best imo depending where it spawned). Trapper can booby trap an entire area with his Devour. Trapper can also use Thrill of the Hunt to make cleansing take forever. Since he can arm traps all over both totems.

I love using Crowd Control on Trapper. When they fast vault their entire jungle gym gets blocked for a whole 20 seconds. I get freebies. Then I rig the entire area it’s in so everyone going to break the hex gets caught. With that hex I only have to arm the surrounding pallets, and grass. 😂

Some are definitely mediocre.
If Ruin couldn't be cleansed, it would be insanely oppressive. The trap totems don't apply to this, because they're traps.

Powerful effects, but bad placements. they shouldn't be so obviously placed, especially with all the perks to find them.
2 -
Uncleansable (is that even a word?) Ruin wouldn´t be insanely oppressive. If it was the old Ruin, then sure, but the new one, has no effect while survivors hug gens. So... nope.

Tsulan "Ruin isn't even strong" Gaming.

Why does it matter if it's a word? In the context of this game, yes, it is.
Yeah, sure, but after one or two survivors are dead against a mobile killer that can get across the map in a few seconds? Yes, it would be insanely opressive. Ruin is only as good as the killer that can apply it.

It 2 survivors are dead, Ruin is the least of your problems.

I mostly ignore it when i play survivor. Unless i stumble uppon it. Because it isn´t much more than a minor inconvenience.

It is an argument for beeing one of the best perk in the game. If you think this is strong might be a different story but clearly its one of the best you have available.

What a dumb post.
Yeah cause survivors has a perk that can finish a gen in 40 seconds instead of 80, like devour hope can bring you down in 1 hit instead of 2.
This community and especially this forum is a huge joke, cry baby killers like the op come to cry for stupid reasons. seriously get good.

You gotta protect the totems. They’re marked red for you so walk over to them every once in a while. In fact I walk towards the totem soon as the game starts to see if I can catch a survivor. There’s also hex undying, retribution and thrill of the hunt. They’re met to provide a new gameplay element other than the generators

If it's a hex totem it should be harder to undo than just Shift+W and holding ur click. atleast give it skill checks or something like the Yellow Rift

That's your opinion.
So let's agree to not agree.

They can be, but they often aren’t. It’s incredibly frustrating to watch other survivors just walk by totems.
