Anybody else miss the old animations?

Title. Does anyone else miss the old animations like the characters when they're injured, running, especially running I feel it was smoother. Maybe this is just a me thing but I definitely prefer the old animations compared to the new animations.

Just the wounded running animation. The rest (standing, walking, standard running, crouching, etc) looks way better now.

I miss spinning on the ground the most, was easiest way to thank a killer that dropped me at hatch.

    I like them

The only exceptions are the injured animations while standing and running

And also the injured animation while holding a key looks really ######### weird in my opinion

I don’t remember what the old animations looked like 😳

No, and I never missed them. I was very objective when they were changed so I didn't undertand people's anger. Everyone got used to the old ones and I agree stuff like moonwalking and 360ing became extremely difficult, but looking at old clips I just can't imagine how someone leaning a whole 50 degrees while just standing still was more natural. Old Claudette lobby animation looked like she was about to poop herself.

I only really miss the old injured animation and the ability to spin when downed. Other than that, I like the newer animations.

They said in a dev update like six months ago that they were working on polishing the standing idle and injured running animations. And then they just...didn't.

    I still hate those ones.

For the most part I like the new animations. Although we need smooth 60fps head bobbing back. It also needs to be possible whilst crouching (it isn't right now!). And I don't think your head looks up when you look up and are running. Please fix. Killers need to know when you're running around like a headless chicken.

I prefer the new animations for the most part. But, the injured Running animation (especially for male Survivors) and the idle animation will hopefully get updated. Especially the male injured running animation looks so bad.

Yes, i really do. People might say it's just nostalgia, but the old animations really felt better. Now everything just feels stiff visually, even with the healthy running animations there's less body movement.

The injured running animations are just objectively bad, especially the male set. You could argue that kind of galloping movement looked very gamey, but there was a certain rhythm to them.

Yeah, i was going to say that. Just one the many other things BHVR promised but never delivered.

Except the old injured ones, I'm fine with the new ones.

Old maps though, you can come back.

    ...please come back

Yes, both animations and maps. They were so much better.

I prefer the new animations much more than the old ones.

I always thought the survivors moved like gremlins with the old ones.

If it has "old", GeneralV is sold.

    Save a few exceptions, obviously.

    So yes, I miss them.

That's mostly your brand at this point.

You're like the old man of the forums. In a good way.

    Thank you, my friend :)

I am probably the most old-fashioned player the DBD community has ever seen.

    And I love it.

Meh, I've more or less adjusted to the new ones.

I always miss removed/changed things in games unless they made them unplayable.

A lot of dbd changes have been for the better, but I will forever miss old animations, offerings, maps, pallet variations, pink/brown perks, etc.

The old animations definitely felt much smoother playing with. And I miss being able to nod while running away from the killer, the new animations have your survivors head snapped in place when you are moving which I hate. They even removed nodding while crouched.

And the worse part is I don't know if the devs are even aware of this being removed as it's been half a year since the new animations and this feature has still not been added back.

i Might be one of the only DBD boomers who doesn't miss anything "old" in DBD. BHVR has done great work slowly modernizing their game, new animations are great, new maps look great, etc etc. I Do have nostalgia for those days, but certainly not envy.

When they made the new animations i thought they looked so bad but comparing them now it's the opposite.

They were so good, but people had to protest them just because it was the devs' idea. It's the cool thing to do in this community, whether it's warranted or not. That, or they wanted their ez 360s back with the deceptive leaning forward animation as they run.

Honestly no. I like the new animations.

I've got used to the new animations now, I wasn't sure about them at first but I struggle to remember the old ones now (I do have an atrocious memory so that might help!).
