I'm real hesitant to play until the SBMM is up and running

Last night was one of the worst nights I've ever had in playing Dead by Daylight. My rank 8 survivor kept facing off against rank one killers, and my rank 12 killer kept facing off against red rank survivors.

This game can be a blast to play, but the horrible matchmaking makes it really difficult to have a pleasant experience when you're a casual player. I accept that I'm not going to win every match, nor do I expect to, but I don't want to sweat my ass off in every match! If only they incorporated the offline bot mode that they said they would in the July developer update. It would allow me to blow off some much needed steam.

I feel ya, I've been grinding tome challenges so save up for Pinhead and finishing survivor challenges has been a beast because of the time of day I can play ("peak hours" in my region) and the mess that rank based match making has been. I'm usually a rank 6 survivor and some games it's me and 4 rank 1s and I do okay but get garbage BP and struggle to complete challenges or I'm the highest rank survivor against a rank 1 killer and we just get clapped. When I play on Sundays and Mondays during the day I have fantastic matches for both killer and survivor, nobody seems to really sweat (except once in a while) and things go pretty good overall.

Higher wait times=worse games as survivor is what I noticed. Usually 10pm-2am eu. Other times it is insta lobbies and similar ranked teammates.

As a killer lobbies are always fast for me and games are more or less the same. Either clicky swf or chill solos.

In my region during the day survivor queue times are instant, but in the evening killer queue times are instant, so when I'm looking to garner a lot of blood points I do so in the evening with killer. However it proves to be an exhausting thing to do because I'm constantly encountering people far more skilled at this game than I. And when you add SWF on top of that, it makes for a miserable experience.

Solo survivor and playing against a SWF as killer is hard enough. I don't need the matchmaking working against me too.

Yeah it's funny, when I'm playing solo survivor and I've noticed that the game is taking a while to search for a match, then I know I'm in for a world of hurt. LOL

    It's also happening to me.

In the last 5 or 6 days I've played almost nothing due the inminence of the SBMMR, I feel too lazy to play the current MMR of which I'm quite fed up, it feel now like losing time. I'm looking forward to Tuesday.

The problem is that it might work in similar way. True that we will probably be better matched when there is enough killers/survivors. But what will happen when it takes a while to find similar people? It might match us with different people like it does now.

So the answer is probably play at certain times of the day like now.

When they did tests in the past, they did say it was going to take roughly 10 or so matches to get you set within its ranking system. I imagine the same will be said for this new system.

Yeah but thats not what I am saying. What happens when there is not enough players that match you? We will probably have longer waits and be matched with players of different "skills".
