If you're so worried about SBMM, you have likely been having it easy
So many people seem scared of SBMM especially when it comes to playing killer, which would mean you often had those chill and easy games (lucky you) but I for one 9/10games versed challenging survivors, while I'm not talking about top 1% but I hardly ever versed survivors that wouldn't do gens or lacked the understanding of tiles etc.
While I'm not mad about it, this is a huge reason I'm not worried about SBMM, I have versed strong survivors and its prepared me. Often iv versed a great team as my weakest killers (wont happen anymore till I get better at them/they get buffed)
So if you're worried about SBMM, then you was likely lucky before so bare in mind it will take you some more adjusting. Please try keep a positive mind to it, its something for the better. It will normalize games and allow for more accurate stats to be used for buffs to perks, killers etc.
Remember, play how you have fun playing. The game will just put you where you belong, if you are trying your best to win you will verse others doing so. NO game should be a free win or an easy one.

Has nothing to do with having it easy or not. This game doesn't have defined win conditions and at the peak of the mmr the games last 3.5 minutes, killer get one kill, 2 if survivors throw, and if people complained about seeing the same perks over and over before, wait till there's an actual meta because now its got MMR. While I agree something should be done to keep <100 hour Andies out of games with people with 3k hours which honestly I think they do a decent job of already, nobody wants to play a game where everyone plays "optimally" for killer or survivor. killer playing optimally means someone spends 10 minutes waiting for a game only to not even get to play it, and survivors playing optimally means the gens pop before the killer gets any ground, especially at the highest levels. During the most recent test playing survivor there was 1 game i played where the killer got more than 1 kill and that was scott jund on blight and we struggled to do anything because we had those players that went down nearly instantly. Every other game the killer would eventually get a hook, and be reduced to camping it because to go chase someone else would be throwing and for the survivors to get the unhook would also be throwing so the remaining 3 did the gens and left while the person on the hook babysat the killer.

There's also the point of without seeing the mmr gains or the factors, who does the game see as more skilled, the claud that hid the whole game and managed to escape out the hatch, or the guy that ran the killer 80% of the game but dies. most of the devs themselves struggle to get out of the current green ranks so I don't exactly trust them to make the judgement of what makes a survivor skilled or not.

Cant wait to play sweaty swfs for the 5th year and be surprised that i lost without a chance. Now consistently every game. Eu late night at high mmr without balancing. Sign me up sounds great!

Nobody's forcing you to do that, that's a conscious choice you make. It's late and my brain is tired.

a consequence of doing the game's objective?

A consequence of playing competitively.
Sorry, I completely missed that word. However, if you play casually as survivor, you shouldn't get to that point.

You don't have to play competitively to play well. You can be good at the game and be casual just as you can try really hard at the game and suck.

If your casual is so good that it automatically puts you against the best of the best (which Blights apparently are, according to some threads I've read), you are a video game god.
The current ranking system isn't a good predictor of what will happen with SBMM. Relax.

Your title and post show that you really don't understand this game well. It isn't that people want easy games. People want a chance. Against good survivors you have to play meta killers and use meta perks. You can't play of meta if you want to win. People that are good at Clown and Doctor will still gain MMR easily against most players because most players are not good. Once they get their MMR up on off meta killers they will face good teams and have no chance. Then they will tank MMR and repeat the cycle over.

you dont have to be a video game god to be good at this game holding m1 is easy so is holding w.

Perks arent gonna matter with MMR. the complaining about the stale perks is going to get worse because thats what everyone is going to be forced to use. Even people that arent great will use them because they will be emulating the highest tier. WOW just had the same issue with covenants. devs thought casual players wouldnt care about worse performance and would play the one that appealed to them but then 99% of players all chose the same covenants.

5years experience, always rank 1. All killers and perks, cant be more experienced tbh. And like if said in many threads you cant balance a game when there isnt a ranking system. One game I can 12hook at 5 gens others struggle to get hooks. There should never be such a huge gap like that and that's why the game isnt balanced.
I wish people would stop acting like they're only going to face the top 1% which just isnt true. Anyone with a brain knows at high level survivors win but with MMR the data and stats would show it better than the current so bad killers can be changed. Honestly the biggest game issues is base gen regression/kick and the start of a match where survivors spawn separate on gens, oh and map sizes.
So many people have easy as games without even realizing it.

Swfs have truly easy games. Now we all know that survivors will win high mmr games and we know that nothing will be done about it. Stop kidding yourself that the devs will adjust for high mmr killer matches lol. If you really play for 5 years, you know nothing is gonna happen there

I know how games work, they never balance for the top % no matter the game, fact is though DBD breaks way before the top %. The only reason half the killers win is due to bad survivors.
I'm honestly so happy to have SBMM because all the times people have said killer is easy etc. At high ranks will be put in their place, the truth will be so clear and obvious there be no denying it.
The devs will make changes, while it wont be the top 1% they will look at the data, it will take time (longer than usual as its bhvr) but it will happen.

I'm pro SBMM, and although I reckon that is certainly going through the minds of some, there are others who may have other concerns, like what the conditions are based on.
Certainly, any resistance to it will be based upon at least some element of fear. I'm just not convinced everyone against it fears it for the same reason.
I will say though: if this is ultimately trying to balance people to the right skill level, those who believe they ought to be a high-skilled player yet are destroyed would likely move towards less difficult games with equally-skilled opponents. So it won't be months and years of these difficult games, but comparatively few. They'll just need to deal with the fact that they weren't as good as they thought, but then look to improve their game so when they reach those heady heights they will actually be good enough.

I generally agree on your statement, that sounds reasonable. Although many games balance around their top end of players, atleast fps and fighting games where it makes sense for their more serious playerbase. Dbd is...well, you know how unbalanced it is and the only balance is having someone who cant play the game among good players, their 5 year old balancing formula of stuffing potatoes into high ranks. That's just masking the problems, you know that too, but now we're forced to play these matches that are unwinnable by design.
Devs be like: Yeah the game is a shitshow at high skill. Too bad. You already bought dlcs, so bye.
