Not really excited for the new Chapter.
Anyone else feeling a little underwhelmed or disappointed with this upcoming release? I'm happy that a seemingly new and improved matchmaking is coming out. But I don't particularly care for the new licensed Killer that is coming to the game. Pinhead, the hell priest from Hellraiser, will always be a classic horror icon. I just don't personally believe he should be in such a game as DBD (this applies to FNAF too). His play style, though unique, seems a tad dull and the character itself doesn't fit in with the other killers in this game.
I'd rather prefer they take a chapter to improve the health of their game or tweak/rework some Killers that desperately need it.

He fits just as much as Candyman. maybe even more. plenty of the killers we have now don't necessarily fit either.
Huntress.Trickster.Deathslinger. are some killers that have allmost nothing to do with horror and if these guys fit. so does pinhead, candyman, or even FNAF

Aside from DeathSlinger which I'd have to agree, that's completely untrue. Trickster is an original slasher killer (Freddy, Myers, and Ghostface are primary examples of Slasher Horror film Killers). Huntress is a psychopathic murderer who preys on victims in villages and steals their daughters, who is also an original horror Killer (Similar to Hag, Doc, Nurse).
Now if you were to say Twins doesn't fit, or Pyramid Head, I'd have to completely agree with you. They don't. BHVR had to word it for DeathSlinger and Twins that they're being manipulated to a certain degree. And PH is essentially given a new identity since he's the result of the main protagonist's repressed guilt in Silent Hill. He doesn't exist outside of that, and BHVR took that and changed it so that PH is his own person.
Now when you take this and compare it to say, Pinhead. It's not comparable. Pinhead is a character who revels in masochism and sadism to the highest degree in Hell. Candyman would fit the lore more into DBD since he is a classic slasher. A supernatural one at that. FNAF is just some crazy robot who resides in a kid's playstore/diner.

Honestly. I'd really rather they do another unliscenced Killer instead. 5he writing is always so much better and the powers tend to be more fun. With the exception of Meyers, liscenced Killers tend to be unenjoyable rehashes of existing powers. Hell, even Pyramid Head needed a veritable batman's utility belt style kit with a bunch of powers to make him stand out.

of course they had to make creative liberties , and about the manipulation. many other killers like nurse fall under that category. im not saying trickster huntress or slinger dont fit. im saying everyone fits just as much as the other.

Agreed, but my reasoning is that there's nothing in the Chapter that interests me.
Pinhead as a character does nothing for me, and his power looks unengaging and too complex to use. The introduction of Scourge Hook perks is mildly intriguing at the very least, but still unexciting.
No new Survivor or perks, or even a map or rework is just lame. One Killer and three meh perks is all we're getting for another three month (if the rumours about a stand alone Survivor is false).

I wouldn't be as excited either, considering it isn't a chapter. A chapter is one killer and one or two survivors being added to the game along with a new map.

i think Hex:Plaything finally brings out the needed potential of retrebution and the third seal.

Unless I missed something in recent lore about the Nurse, she isn't being manipulated. she went insane and murdered all her patients (I think because she thought it was helping them). And even if the Entity IS manipulating her, it still plays out nicely because she's already an insane and violent murderer.
Hellraiser fits into none of these categories. He's a Hell Priest that tortures in the name of masochism for his God. His mannerisms, his actions, his speech don't fit with what DBD has setup and have. He's no Slasher, and he's not even technically a Killer. He just torments people. Again, this is my opinion, so it obviously it isn't right or wrong, but he doesn't fit with the rest of the cast when you compare him to anyone else. I WOULD agree that he fits in more with DBD than Twins though. No idea why they're here based on their lore other than the fact the entity chose her for some reason.

i think hes very much like plague. and also about the twins. killers dont have to be evil. they just need to have an unfavorable past that lead them to such actions. char went into the entity to keep victor alive, she makes as many people suffer as she can to keep close to her brother. even if not for evil reasons shes doin evil actions.

Pinhead's power doesn't seem fun neither to face nor to play as. The only thing I'm looking forward are the hitches fixes on console.

Now that you mention it since I completely forgot about her, she doesn't fit in either. She's no Killer in her past life. And the only reason she does now is because... she believes the Entity is her God and she's in fear of it? It baffles me. If they tweaked her lore and stated she performed ritualistic murders in the name of her God because she's an over-religious zealot who's off the deep end, I'd be all for it.

Ah, if the tome tweaked her lore that way, then I rescind my previous comment. But it still remains for Hellraiser. Personally, he as an individual character just doesn't fit the mold of what DBD has been setting.

to me the mold they have been setting is . anyone can be a killer, some killers do it for malicious reasons, some to protect others, some are forced to there breaking point, some do it for family, some for pleasure, some for fame and fortune , religion , ect. i think the only one that i feel truly dosent fit in all honesty. is the nemises atleast lore wise hes not a "killer" hes basically a programmed robot or homunculus

I get you though, I'm not too excited for the 'chapter' I'm just not a fan of licensed killers or chapters in general.
I am looking forward to sbmm and the grading system and if there will be further console tweaks to help but that's about it for me.

No I'm not excited at all. No new map or survivor, console will probably still be broken, and they're adding mmr.
Just hoping after pinhead they take a break from licensed chapters and add a new ######### outdoor map for ######### sake.

You really gotta add the Fnaf part too huh? Anyways I'm not excited not because I don't think hellraiser shouldn't be in but just pinhead's design. If they release one of the other cenobites then I'll definitely play him a lot.

I'm looking forward to it. I especially enjoy how little people actually know about Hellraiser - everyone got up in arms about Pinheads speaking lines because they didn't seem to realise that he is a sadomasochistic cult priest.

I'm not very thrilled about the next chapter. The last thing that actually excited me was the DS rework. Everything after that has been "meh"

I have no interest is hell raiser so they chapter is just meh for me. New perks look interesting though
