Gen rush is indeed an issue in this game and for that i sometimes can't even blame killer for tunneling.

I think what is needed it to remove 1 hook per survivor or add 1 more gen to do or give other task survivors HAVE to do. Most dont even do bones and then they whine about NOED after. especially slower M1 killers come across this problem more since some maps are just too big, than speedy or ranged killers. Often i feel like if i want to play fair i have to accept a loss or a draw. I just simply dont have time to be hooking everyone twice before killing.

Yea I agree. I still haven’t seen a response to: “what are survivors supposed to do?” I’ve asked that question in three other threads.

”Gen rushing” is a terrible term. There are only 5 totems and 3/4 chests per map. There’s nothing else to do once everyone is healthy and unhooked. It’s up to killers to create a chaotic environment that slows down gen progress, & forces survivors into altruism.

Personally, I believe Undying should have never been nerfed. And there needs to be a perk that gives killers 1-3 extra totems (based on level).

"Gen rush" is just an objective term in 95% of all trials. I'm only suprised the term "kill / hook rushing" is so rare.

It's pretty much the same, as both are the main objectives for both sides.

Personally I just pretend they didn't say anything whatsoever if someone says gen rush with no further explanation.

You never know if that means a genuine gens-before-friends team with juiced out toolboxes or someone that quite simply messed up and they're mad they went against survivors that qualify as sentient life forms that slammed gens when the killer camped or something, or somewhere inbetween. Just like any other term like camping, where you have no idea if that means it was a killer standing in front of them until they were dead or a killer that just chased some absolute idiot that thought it was a brilliant idea to loop around the hook.

But to be honest this is still doing the survivor game objective. The objective is to do gens as fast as possible.

Although I would completely remove BNP from the game. Not that they are used that often, but still, it is not fair and is not balanced.

What I would call "genrush" is old BNP, which used to complete a gen instantly, other than that there is no "genrush" anymore.

Gen rushing is possible- prove thyself, 4 brand new parts, holding gens rather than helping their team. However this is a rare occurrence.

The term gen rushing is overused, and it's a way killers excuse themselves for losing, and they'll blame teams who play no gen related perks or items, and are relatively slow on the gens, by saying they were gen rushing.

A build with PT, Resilience, Stake Out, and Fast Track is clutch as hell with three people on a gen. One skill check and half the gen is done. But very situational.

PT gives too much of a boost IMO. People are either splitting up in pairs with it or running three men on gens and rotating out. 30% bonus is pretty disgusting. Thana gives a max 20% penalty. PT gives a max 45% boost and then there's Resilience that can add an extra 9%.

If gen rushing doesn't exist, I'd like to know what happened during the Anniversary Event. That was a nuclear arms race if I ever saw one.

Genrush is when you use BNPs or when you leave teammate on the hook hit second stage or even die because you prioritize the gen. How does it not exist?

I think it should it would be a good training ground, why play new characters in ranked when it could potentially tank your rating.

    Neither does tunneling and camping.

Killers are just doing their objectives, what do you want? For killers to throw away the way to win easier?

You want them to what? Go to the corner and let you get unhook for free and you want them to not chase, down, and rehook, the injured person the one that got unhooked recently?.
