Cross Progression on the Switch
Any word on the switch cross progression update?
I love the game, definitely spent a few hours playing now on the switch. I played a bit on PC though and fell in love with it all over again. I know they said "coming soon" but its been some time now and was wondering if anyone had an inside scoop.
I'd be very happy to just pick up all my dlc and progress on steam as well.

switch will probably get cross progression when trapper gets reworked and console is optimized

No news on this sadly.
though according to some texts on the Behaviour account webpage it seems like it could be enabled soon. Maybe. Hopefully.

We don't have an official release date as of yet that I can share I'm afraid. There were issues that needed to be resolved and unfortunately it cannot be released until those issues are completely resolved.

All I need to hear is that its still in the works and on the table to be happy. I'll just work on the base characters until I can one day be reunited with all my stuff that I got on the switch. :)

Something should have been said for sure. It would have helped ease the wait time. I just want to know its still in the works is all, even if it's got a delay. I am just nervous it's going to be scrapped and we will never hear anything about it again.

that was my attitude in july but after the long wait we got template replies and it all just irked tbh bc they straight up lied to us and now we're at a point where its been 400+ days since switch cross progression was announced and we have no date

Well, Im hoping it wasn't a lie and it really was just a delay. Even if we just got some kind of update that its still going to happen I'd be happy. I invested a bit more than I'd like to admit on my switch version, but with a newborn baby I don't have the cash to repurchase all my dlc. That and if I buy something again and it gets announced we get cross progression real quick after buying it, I'd be a bit butthurt. Just a time table would help. It would really be great to just be able to carry over my progress.
Even just an update would be something. Usually I feel like Bhvr does a great job with this, but I feel a bit in the dark on this subject and I hope its not a bad sign that it won't happen.

there was an official statement regarding the delay on Twitter. And I know someone has made a topic about that here on the forums so people would be informed.
to be fair, it was just a response to a question at the very end of Q2, but at least they said something

I have a funny feeling Netflix declining to renew their DBD contract is what delayed Switch cross-progression.

Switch crossprogression has been "coming soon" since it was announced... July 2020. At this point, although I'm sure problems with it, I'm placing my bets that it's not coming. It's been far too long since it was announced, especially since the initial release for the 3 platforms getting it was supposed to be last September. (None of them came last September but that's what we were intially told). I feel like switch crossprogression is going to be like the key nerf that's always "coming with the next changes moris." Switch crossprogression is "Coming in September" then "It'll be a few weeks after steam and stadia" then idr but I swear something else then "It'll most likely be by the end of the second quarter, but we're aiming for April." Technically the last one wasn't a promise per se, but they were still confident enough to give us a month they were aiming for.
