Pinhead voice lines have been removed?
In the latest patch notes it is stated that the Pinhead voice lines ("You opened the box, I came") have been removed.
It says "removed" too. Not disabled because of a bug or something, just straight up permanently removed.
The reason for this change is apparently a "complication with the audio files", as quoted from Behaviour themselves. I don't find this easy to believe, if there was a complication then this removal would be temporary.
I'm actually really disappointed. Not because I can't make any "I came" jokes, which are really childish and honestly just super unfunny.
I'm disappointed because his voice lines give this killer personality, a different feel, it just makes your experience overall better in a subtle way. And they are creepy.
Can Behaviour please explain this removal and not give just another dodgy excuse? My guess for now is that the license holders of Pinhead didn't want people making the I came jokes, so they asked for the voice lines to go. Please tell your community what's going on please.

Yeah i believe it's a legal thing. Problem when it comes to licenses is that they really cannot say much. We don't even know why the Stranger Things Chapter got removed.

Could be because of the way you can interpret the voice line or because of all those "funny" 16 year old boys making dumb jokes about it. Either way it's really dumb to simply remove it because of this. Worst case scenario the voice line is a meme in the community and that's it.

"We cannot comment on this further" quote from MandyTalk. Yes it is definitely a legal thing. I wonder, why did the license holders have a problem with Pinhead's voice lines? It wasn't like Behaviour themselves were promoting the joke or something, it was just the game's unfunny community.

Considering netflix is making their own game studio, i think we have a very good idea of why stranger things is getting removed.

Not to be cringe about it, but all these legal issues honestly make me way less hype about their current and future collaborations with other IPs. The Stranger Things flop made some sense- it's obviously Netflix being difficult and ending the contract because they wanna spread their own gaming wings (lmfao)- but to have the voice line issue with a completely different chapter so soon after that is just... really unfortunate and pretty lame lmao
Weirdly enough, I (and many others, it seems) found the Cenobite voice lines to be one of, if not THE, most exciting and interesting parts of the chapter. To have it taken away is like a cruel "Gotcha!" moment LOL
like don't get me wrong, still mega excited for Pinhead- his voice lines aren't everything, obv. But it was a big charm for the character and I'm disturbed that they might have permanently removed it for whatever reason LOL

I'd kind of be surprised if it was over those jokes- it's not like the double meaning was ever lost on anyone and you'd have to be INCREDIBLY naive to not have seen this coming, even if the owners for Hellraiser are possibly older/less internet culture savvy, you know?

My excitement for this chapter has genuinely gone down for some reason. They're just voice lines but they make all the difference. Pinhead is basically a dull M1 killer with a power worse than Clowns and a useless teleporting ability. His lines were the best thing about him tbh.

If it was over the "I came" Jokes, they'd leave his Mori Quote. Cause nobody made jokes about that.

Right?!?! I was surprised to see how many people are equally disturbed as we are. A couple of people on Reddit were borderline melting down over it 💀💀
I agree- the lines gave him SO much character. Really disappointed to see it go and probably never come back 😕

The "complication" might have been the maturity level of the player base.
