Do you guys think we will ever get any Lovecraftian horror?

Yes I know its implied and hinted everywhere in the horror genre but I want some Eldritch being sure Hellraiser is pretty close but not exactly. HP Lovecraft will always be my favorite horror persona I just want some of his style in DBD so if we did ever get one thing from his stories what do you guys think it would be?

Technically, if we did, the survivors wouldn't have a chance because they'd go insane trying to comprehend it. :)

In all seriousness yes, it would be cool.

A lot of Lovecraftian horror is shapeless or unfathomable entities. That might be difficult to code, although The Blob as a Killer would be pretty awesome. His brand of horror always seemed more cerebral than physical. While scary, not particularly gruesome or slasher oriented like the rest of the iconic bunch we have now.

Not saying I wouldn't love to see something come alive out of his stories, absolutely love them, but it might be difficult to bring that brand of horror into DbD.

Blight is pretty lovecraftian, he is a servant of an elder god warped beyond all humanity into a mindless abomination practically oozing a substance unknown to man. His mind is gone and yet the intellect and status of a once great alchemist are still there, hes great lovecraftian horror.

This just reminds me how much I'd love to have a Bloodborne chapter.

Ludwig as a killer and his weapon is the holy moonlight greatsword.

"Ah, you were at my side, all along. My true mentor... My guiding moonlight..."

I'd love that, or even Gascoigne or Orphan, Orphan would be actually very chaotic.

Heres the thing too we sorta got it with The Doctor and his madness but man it doesnt really do any other lovecraftian story justice imo. It was a good start but something thats not Cthulhu would be sweet as hes just always the easy goto

Besides the Entity itself, cosmic horror is usually reliant on being too surreal and fantastical for our minds to fully comprehend. They doesn’t fit well with chasey chasey horror.

    Hey guys,

The perfect license for an HP Lovecraft based killer would be John Carpenter's "The Thing". That movie is probably the best Cosmic Horror movie ever written. And The Thing's power would be a pretty direct translation from the movie.

I will say the 2016 movie "The Void" is also a great Cosmic Horror movie.

The thing would be pretty cool aside from the antartic
