Another thing is what is the point of Pinheads secondary ability if the survivors ALWAYS know where the box is and can make your secondary power absolutely none existent

There is an addon which makes the aura not visible until the chainhunt begins.
otherwise, it’s a second objective that lets at least one surv go out of their way and having to solve the box (and exposing themselves doing it) while not being able to work on Gens or anything.

The addon only hides the aura unless they get within 16m or the chain hunt begins. Honestly it could probably just be made basekit since it kind of sucks that you often don't get to see any chain hunts without it.

Why do you bring addons to the conversation when we are talking about how weak a killer is? Killers are not supposed to depend on addons unless they are straight up garbage and bad designed.
Addons should be there only to enhance what is already good, not to make it viable by any means, take a look on reworked Hag or Pyramid Head, they don't need addons and for the most part, their addons only make them do better what they already do well.

Just saying its pointless because every few seconds I get a notification that someone is doing the box before chain hunt even has the chance to start increasing. Its impossible to make it to them before the finish it, and teleporting to them finishes it immediately. As for it being another objective for survivors, it adds nothing. They tell survivors EXACTLY where the box is and they hold M1 to solve it. Where is the game or objective in that?

Try using Hoarder and Franklins on him, you might find it very useful.

the addon is AMAZING qol. I literally cannot play without it without feeling completely gimped. it absolutely should be basekit

We were not talking about how weak the killer is. The question was what Pinheads secondary ability point is, which I answered directly. And I have given an info about an addon that could make the chainhunt be more often activated.
i didn’t even say anything about how strong/weak Pinhead is AT ALL. So why are you coming into this conversation like this?

Tbh it would be a little better (not good but better) if ONLY the obsession could see the box. But EVERY survivor is over doing it. Obviously the closest one will just grab/solve it and the odds of killer finding the box first is almost none.

It serves as a second objective for survivors, which slows the game down for Pinhead.

You get a loud notification when a surv starts opening a chest or picks up an item. And the box counts as an item in this case.
so the idea is that you can track a surv with the unsolved box in hand, smack it with Franklins out of their hands and then start the chainhunt

SMORT survivors will hold the box for several seconds until they find a safe place to solve it, since you have no idea where the box was, its too hard for you to do something about it, but if you are using hoarder you can go chase the holder and quickly start a chainhunt with Franklins.
