Giving each survivor different stats...
Besides an offline bot mode would it be feasible to give survivors some differences so they aren't just palette swaps?
Claudette getting a healing bonus, meg can run faster, lin can fix gens quicker, Jeff can stun killers longer with pallets, tapp can clean totems faster etc. something small like a 4% bonus
Faster sabotage regeneration faster ,broken status after unhooking the possibilities are there to change the game for survivors.
For balancing you can lower another stat for that survivor.

No, I've seen this suggestion quite a lot and i'm still against it simply because i wouldn't want to see the same survivors all the time, this would kill the variety completely.

Who is "Lin"? This would be appalling for balancing. Not only is this game not very balanced and constantly slipping in and out of "balance" every patch/new chapter. You now want BHVR to balance each perk against 27 different survivors and all the other perks. So each chapter release there will be 81 new balances to look at not including looking at perks that survivor could use to buff their base abilities... It is a good idea in theory but a bad idea in practice if you ask me.

From a business standpoint it gives them a reason for people to buy the dlc survivors...there really isnt a perk that says I need to buy him or her asap 🤣

no thanks. id prefer playing a survivor for how they look then stats.

It would depend on your playstyle or if you are working on a specific tome challenge

Its a fun idea but I could imagine it would be a headache for the developers. Each survivor with a unique ability... yikes.
- how does it work if 4 players play that same survivor? Do those abilities stack? So if Claudette gets, lets say, a 5% healing bonus does that stack with medkits and perks? What if 3 Claudettes are healing the same survivor? Is that a 15% healing bonus?
- Meg running faster... wouldn't that make some tiles/loops infinite for her? Again, would this bonus stake with perks? That would make her very hard to catch, especially with the slower/ less mobile killers.
- then the most obvious issue: one or two survivors would be the meta and that is all we would see.
This game is already difficult to balance x.x having to worry about each survivors individual bonus would be a lot, even if it was 3-4%.

I would say limit it to one of each survivor for strategy and variety.
So that one claudette would have her ability stack for her med kit or any heal. Afterwards she could have a cooldown time where her next heal is slower during that time frame.
Same for your meg example she gets a cooldown after her extra sprint burst like ability.
Would make swf have to use more strategy. For solo play it would encourage people to work as a team.

Just brainstorming...survivors just seem like bland palette swaps gameplay wise. Look at the Friday the 13th game with variety for survivor stats.🤔

Ah yes because I don't see Feng, Nea, Meg, Claudette all the time already. No this would definitely cause that.

Then you have another issue if me as a survivor i camt use my main because someone already pick her im ######### if i dont have another character with the perk i want my only option is to dodge and wait another 5 to 10 minute

So having to make people play different survivors for diversity would be bad? How many multiplayer games have roles to play versus the enemy?
We have a healer,a genrusher, a sprinter, we need a totem cleaner etc. That is where the strategy would come in.
Tell me that wouldn't make survivor games more interesting at least.

A meta will form and you will only see the same survivor over and over again. Lets say in the meta you only have 1 of the survivor with a meta build and the other are all lvl 1 if someone take that survivor im sorry but you are ######### because you have no one else.
And the balancing issue around that will be a nightmare for the dev they already can balance the game on a regular basis or it take 3 month for a change. They are too lazy to do that im sorry

It wouldn't. What if I don't want to be the totem cleanser but that's the open role? And like it is on the killer side, why would anyone pick or buy the lower tier survivors if they want to win?
People having the choice to play the game how they choose is a massive reason this game is fun. Taking that away would be terribly boring.

I find Dbds characters being just cosmetic actually refreshing. Survivors are just moods and vibes. I like to play Claudette as a cocky rainbow neon flashlight chaser and go down in 20 seconds without getting to use my Dead Hard, and I prefer Cheryl being the medic survivor because of her Lisa Garland skin.
I'd hate to feel like I'm not playing optimally by choosing a cooler survivor.

This suggestion keeps popping up, and it remains a bad idea that will wreck the games balance and remove diversity.
Sweatlords already main Blendette. We don't need to *buff* her, or introduce something even worse.

Yeah I was being optimistic but any bug could bring this down...we did have infinite running from some perks🤣

The big problem with this is that it's way too late to add it. This game has been out for 5 years, people got attachments to these characters, people spent money on their characters, and it's all okay because these survivors are just skins and have no advantages over each other so they were allowed to pick who ever they wanted. Adding passives to survivors who been the same for years is a million spits to the face to those who simply played who they liked.
Imagine being a Claudette main since the beginning of the game's lifespan. You bought her outfits, put in billions of bloodpoints, spent thousands of hours, and you even have your unique style with her no other person has. Now imagine if she got the worse passive in the game, you can still play her but she still sucks in comparison to others. It doesn't matter who the survivor with the worst passive is, point is the mains of those characters would be done dirty and I feel bad thinking about them even though they aren't even real.

In fairness you could still play the game as you want as you could still equip any perk

I mean killers have to deal with every nerf and buff to their favorites...there are still people who want to play old freddy for example.
I would love to play old Billy but haven't touched him since the overheat nerf.

A dbd-like game called Identity V has survivors with different stats as well as quick-play & comp. At the higher levels & on ranked you see the same group of survivors & it gets real boring real fast.
