Survivors are apparently so upset over this part in the Patch Notes
Lmao, I usually don't so the whole Killer VS Survivor playerbase...but getting upset over this fix is making me howl with laughter....even big named streamers are sad/angry about it...get a grip...

"Upset" is a strong word. I think people just want understand why change a mechanic that made the game more fun and that it wasn't game breaking (it actually helped against Nurse and Spirit).

thank god for that

This was one of the only good changes.
Because it was really fair for a survivor to drop the pallet on the same side and somehow stun the killer, yup, nothing wrong especially when the killer is on the hitting animation.

That was absolutely an unintentional thing. If a Survivor is standing in front of the Killer with the pallet in front of the Survivor (both players on the same side), there is zero reason it should stun the Killer. Pallets need work for their actual hitbox to be consistent, but any slamming the pallet down without a care and get a stun even when messed up is not ok in my book. Same with me not being ok with hitting a Survivor despite a good pallet drop that legit hit me...
And from my gaze certain Survivor mains I've seen on the web are being pretty "end of the game" about it and how the game is Killer sided over a fix like this.

and then to teleport to the other side of the pallet

I mean, everyone was happy about survivor validation to give them an advantage, why would this be any different? They just want pressing the button to be instant value and this change makes it so now they have to think about placement and how the "server" might not favor them if they throw it down early.

Wait, what actually happened?? I never had that happen only the stun part on the same side.

Oh I've stunned a billy as he was charging at me. I threw down the pallet on the same side he was coming from he got stunned then teleported to the other side.

Pallet stun windows are already very generous. This change is fine.

I wonder if that also fixed fat-shamming.

I wonder how people will react when vacuum stun gets change.

im only annoyed cause this made spirit and nurse just a slighty more easy to deal with

Those rarely happen at all and when they actually do it is usually by mere accident so it doesn't bother me.

exactly. this video which I timestamped at 30 sec shows the clown getting pallet stunned then teleporting to the other side.
Getting pallet stunned when the killer is on the same side as the survivor is a broken mechanic. Broken stuff, whether you're a killer or survivor main, or play both, should be fixed.

I like how people were defending reverse stuns because they were 'fun'.
As if the killer getting stunned because of an unintended bug is fun to them.
5 -
It's a good change, survivors have more consistent pallet stuns now so it's fair.

I suppose from a purely logical point of view, those reverse pallet stuns don't really make any sense! If I'm being chased by a killer and come across a pallet, I wouldn't expect to stop on the wrong side, drop a pallet and expect the killer to be stunned if I am between the killer and the pallet!
This happened once to me as survivor by accident, where I ballsed up a pallet drop in front of me, then tried to figure out why The Plague was spitting feathers, even though she was practically touching me!

I am upset about it cuz it means you cannot do the double hit combo with enduring anymore.

Of course survivors are angry!
It actually makes pallets remotely fair again and they don't like that! /s
But in all seriousness this is a long time coming given how many broken interactions it can cause including ones that can get survivors downed despite successfully stunning the killer.
Ex. Stunning a killer with a pallet only for them to teleport to the side your on and hit you before you can react because of enduring.
Aka this should make it fairer for both sides as it shouldn't be vacuuming killers to the otherside of the pallet anymore and it should also prevent illogical rollbacks.

Anecdotal subjective post from OP, on a killer dominated forum.

LMAO damn I've never seen that.

I'm a survivor and this doesn't upset me too much. If anything the fact that this helps Nurse and Spirit potentially is what is upsetting (Those two don't need more positives lol). That being said my favorite part of this patch was them fixing Spirit's audio issue.
