So what happened to the realm beyond?
Why was there no new update for it this chapter? Will we finish it off in bulk for the mid chapter? I just want swamp and haddonfield reworked already.

Yeah, it's kinda weird how the consistently reworked one or two realms for a while and now it's been... 3 updates with no rework?
It's funny cause the last couple realms that need a graphical update only have 1 or 2 variations

It's strange, the only remaining realms are Swamp, Red Forest & Haddonfield. It doesn't make sense why they'd spend a year updating the older maps only to leave a few in their original form.

They are probably dealing with the infinite bugs and new content, so they don't have time to work on the realm beyond.

Yea but they have seperate teams for all of it. Theres a code team, an art team, an audio team, etc.

I'm pretty sure Midwich, or at least its lighting, looks a lot better. The pallet texture change is also nice.

i cant wait for Haddonfield update. its visuals better look amazing cause it has potential. but make the houses actually look like houses not just shells.

Especially swamp. The map is UGLY. I can barely see on it. Red Forest and Haddonfield are fine, visually, in my opinion. Obviously most killers want Haddonfield gutted, but it does not look like a hideous ps2 game like the swamp does.

They are separeted but not independant. It's like an ant work.

I think people have overlooked something, just like me. The realm beyond was about enhancing ALL things graphically. Remember that since the last reworked map, we got a doctor and trapper rework, alongside reworks for half of the survivors.

Its crazy how RB1 was 1st Sep & RB2 was 20th Oct. Only over 7 weeks.
And it was 3 months after Nemesis, we dont have another RB.
And strange that Lery got changed 3 times. (First updated map, then the windows flap animation, then the lighting)

Dead and gone hopefully, every realm beyond rework made me hate the maps they change more or like them less. Id vastly prefer the previous textures to get rid of the changes they made to each map.

Map reworks require all of those things, so if just one is lagging behind...

But the 4th anniversary stream where TRB was first previewed (gens, pallets, badham) said that they had a completely seperate team specifically for updating old content graphically. The gameplay design team was only to assist for changing gameplay, like on Ormond or Yamaoka.
The case could be that all 3 of the remaining maps need gameplay updates and the gameplay team has been busy trying to fix the mess of the resident evil chapter, or they're trying to fix the last 3 in bulk without worsening the optimisation.

I'm assuming haddonfield and the others will be changed quite alot balance wise since they are some of the worst maps for both sides. So they gotta remove some things and add some things.

apparently fixing everyone's favourite map RCPD for the 100th time is a priority

Maybe they are spending too much time having to fix the maps they've been disabling lately to be able to rework any.
