De-pipping for no reason
Can someone please explain to me why I de pip for doing 3/4 a gen, looped him for the first 3 gens, then got tunnelled by a bubba and I de pip. Can someone please explain to me how am I supposed to rank up when this ######### happens 24/7 and 1 out of every 4 games?

Well you can depip as much as you want and you're not losing your Grade (Rank) anymore.

I guess the point is to minimize losses. They can't make you pip in situations where you get tunneled, otherwise every survivor would be harrassing killers as soon as they get unhooked. SO the best they can do is minimze your losses. Same for killers getting wrecked, they won't lose their Grade they'll just depip until they are their Grade but with 0 pip progress towards the next Grade.

First of all - this does not happen every game, so it doesn't hinder you from ranking up, it just slows you down slightly.
Secondly - DbD is a casual af game. Stop taking ranks so seriously.

Well it's only 1 out of 4 games according to you, so you should be gaining 2 pips in total every 4 games. Therefore you will rank up.

Buddy, I haven't been able to get past 15 because of these things for months; solo, SWF, Kindred, doesn't matter. I spend most of the match with the killer, whether I want to or not. I don't often get opportunities to do much else. So, I just can't rank up.
Oh well, it's nothing but bragging rights and now a couple of bonus bloodpoints.

Yeah this is exactly what I mean, I don't understand why we can't rank up and we end up de pipping if we're in a chase the whole game and the killer doesn't give you time to do gens or totems but lets your team do them all :/
