Honestly I think most people simply don't see the aura the games I played against pinhead I was the only one going for it

Nah when I've tried to do it to prevent a crash the killer just tries tunneling me and starts bm'ing. Fed up with it and frankly I don't get a dc penalty, so no real incentive.

So far my only crashes had been when somebody was trying to solve it and after everyone was in the ground after downing someone with the box to catch the last survivor so.. not sure what to get from this theory

Yeah, so if a survivor has a full golden halo, it will also crash. It usually crashes when a survivor is sacrificed during a chain hunt, but other things can trigger it too.
So to be clear, the server crashes when 1st there is a chain hunt/a survivor is holding the box and has a full yellow crown and then during the following circumstances. Sacrificing a survivor, kicking a generator, opening a door, completing a generator, escaping through hatch. I'm sure there's more, but the major part is that it always happens during a chain hunt or when 1 survivor has a full yellow crown.

I don't know if the chain hunt is the all the way problem. It still crashed on me against Pinhead when there were only 2 survivors or less. I think twice when it crashed, there was no chain hunt. I had on Alert and it crashed when Chatterer was breaking a pallet. I've seen streamers crash when they were doing a basic attack. Something is overloading, if it is chain hunt related, it could be crashing before the hunt begins or its freshly over or "cycling".
All I know from when it's happened to me is it hard crashes during breaking animations or basic attack with two or less survivors. Sometimes there's a chain hunt, sometimes there isn't.

I haven't had a single crash today. Not one, and you know why. Cause I always let survivors get the box and solve it. Do you know why the crash always happens around 2 survivors, because at that point they're too worried about dying to try to solve the box.

If you find yourself in a position where the hunt is active, do not hook a survivor. If they get sacrificed there's a high chance that the game will prematurely end. Just slug them if you need to.

They're gonna die anyway? It doesn't matter at that point if they solve the box, the chain hunt will rat you out. It's just choosing when you wanna die - with the box or the Cenobite catching a glimpse of or hears one of the chains hooked on you. Just how I see it personally. I was lucky to find hatch before the chain hunt started and probably getting the disconnect from host which has now been fixed so I don't see a point in continuing a thread of an issue fixed which you were clearly understandably annoyed with. I hope your Pinhead games go well though now you won't actually crash. Lol

I feel like survivors in my matches are too scared to touch the box. I've run across the map injured to solve the box before it starts chain hunt only to find someone on a gen that's barely started next to it. Like why not do it before hopping on the gen? The chain hunt is about to start and stop you from working on it anyway. 🤦♀️

i go for the box, even when im injured sometimes. i like to wait until the bar is about 2/3 full before i go for it though.

Every match I play I solve the box. I go out of my way to do it LOL. Just something satisfying about it.

I can't believe they haven't pulled the killer yet. Insane that they can allow this number of crashes without some sort of communication.

I'm not sure if there is an add on to hide the aura of the box until chain hunt activates but I have had many games where the aura is not shown as survivor. Once chain hunt starts it can be seen. If this is the case, it is the fault of the killers who run the add on.
If I can see the aura and the timer gets to 60% I will open the box if no.one else has picked it up.

When the box turns yellow I kept mistaking it for my Windows of opportunity auras I wish it turned red or something

Wants Survivors to play accordingly as if it’s their fault you decide to run a bugged killer that’s caused hundreds of lobby crash
Hate to be that guy but yeah. Just don’t use him, or deal with the survivors treading with caution because they don’t want to lose points or time invested into a match which is pretty understandable
