Pinhead Builds

What are some good pinhead builds? I've been thinking bbq because bbq, brutal so you can chain at pallet and not lose much distance, sloppy so that if someone goes to solve the box, they will either waste time healing or risk getting teleported to while injured & ruin cuz regression.

    My build,

    GIVE ME THE BOX;

Hex: Plaything -when you hook a survivor for the first time, they become oblivious until a hex totem that's assigned to them is cleansed

Hoarder -you gain a notification when someone picks up an item.

Hex: 3rd Seal -when you hit a survivor with a basic attack, they gain blindness

Undying- the first hex perk cleansed instead is transfered to a dull totem, this is cleansed instead.

So the idea is that players are gonna be busy with finding the box or removing their oblivious effect. Thing is that they don't get aura reads on the box or their assigned totem due to blindness from 3rd seal essentially making people walking around like headless chickens trying to find the box before you do. If they don't, CHAIN HUNT TIME.

Im enjoying Plaything. Retribution, deadlock, and hoarder. You always see when someone picks up the box, and you always see peoples aura when they try to take away plaything as well

Are you sure that survivors can't see the box with 3rd Seal? Killer items like Jigsaw Boxes, Pools of Devotion, Alarm Clocks and Cages of Atonement are exceptions. I would assume the Lament Configuration would be on that list too.

Oh wait my b, you use the Iri lament addon to hide it to opponents. The 3rd seal is to prevent survivors from finding their hex Plaything totem when they are near and to counter anti hex perks.

Problem I ran into was that plaything requires a dull totem, so the undying and blindness hex removes 2 of the 5, and any dull totems cleansed before playthings use also takes away from it

My fav build so far, essentially you're getting that box 9/10 times with it.

Both addons to make solving the box longer, taking it from a 6 sec solve time to a 12 sec solve time.

    Franklins demise

    Hex: Plaything

    Deadlock

    Hex: Thrill of The Hunt

Every time you see killer instinct pop you drop whatever you're doing and head to it. With the addons to make solving it longer, even if they're at the other end of the map it usually won't be a problem. If you know you won't make it for a basic attack just extend a gate to max range and hit them with it, that'll interrupt them and give you time to catch up.

Once you've caught up all ya gotta do is land one hit and they drop the box.

Playthiing also seems to help a lot by giving survivors side objectives to do if they don't want to be disadvantaged the whole game, along with Thrill of The Hunt you'll be notified everytime they go for a totem so you can sneak up while they're oblivious and get easy hits + it makes totem cleansing slower.

Deadlock just helps with a bit of slowdown and tracking for the survivors working on gens.

Edit: Also! It's pretty decent you get a BP bonus while Thrill of The Hunt is active as well!

Wonder how good running Plaything and TotH would work out. Giving you that extra bit of time to head to the Totem they are working on might be nice.

I only ever run Plaything + maybe 1 other Hex Perk since you want all 4 Survivors to potentially get hit with it. Once I've got Pinhead to P3 maxed, going to max my Hag and Myers again, see how much it helps them as well. EW3 Myers with Plaything sounds like a fun time.

Wait, does hoarder work with the Lament Configuration?

It does, but IMO Franklin's Demise + the addons to make solving the box longer may work better than using Hoarder's.

With Hoarder's it adds 2 chests, and every time the survivors pick up any item you'll be notified. There's no way to tell if they picked the box up specifically or just a medkit out of a chest, unless you run the purple addon so you can see the box yourself too.

With Franklins + the longer solve time addons, it gives you time to find them, catch up to 'em and all ya gotta do is hit em with one M1 and you get the box.

Oh thanks, good to know. i wouldn't have expected Franklin's Demise to work with the box either.

Oh yeah, I was surprised too. I'm so happy we can run an effective build outside of the meta, even if it's only one killer right now lol

The only thing I don't like about Hoarder's is that it means they've already picked up the box. Once you teleport to them, it resets the Chain Hunt and if they've positioned themselves properly, it's an easy escape right into a chase. Right now, Survivors just grab it and solve it wherever for the most part, so they are way out of position and it's an easy hit. Once people get adjusted to how the Lament Configuration works, they'll pick it up and move to a safer place.

Franklin's on the other hand, that works superbly from what I've seen surviving against other Cenobites. Making the Survivor drop the box, dropping the chase, and then picking it up to start a Chain Hunt is solid. Combined with Plaything, and you've got a nice passive detector, 0 TR/Red Stain, and a bunch of panicking people getting pissed at those chains that keep popping out of nowhere. Not to mention it's effective against the rest of the Survivors' items.

Yes! Doesn't help too much if they are far away but it's helpful if they are nearby so you can prevent them from solving.

Hoarder and Thrilling are SUPER good on Pin Man. Down the survivor holding the box once you get the notification from Hoarder, every survivor is interrupted off the gens, pick up the survivor to activate Thrilling and block those gens! It might pair well with PGTW, but it's mainly those two perks that do the job. You can also snowball quite well if you do this consistently.

His best add-ons for this build? He doesn't need any, but he uses this build best with the one that increases the time to solve the box, and the one that increases the range of the gateway.

The most success I've been having is with Hoarder, Franklin's, NOED, and No Way Out.

Ruin + Undying would be good on him, but if I ever got a game where both totems didn't get found immediately maybe I would run it more.

You can tell when a survivor picks up the box vs a survivor picking up an item. If you pay some attention to the UI, you'll see someone's portrait has yellow chains around them meaning they are holding the box.

I think hoarder is better because it gives a huge head start in their direction. You can tell if they picked up the box because their potrait gets a gold ring around it.
