Will BHVR be releasing a statement about this? I'm sure there are many people who bought the DLC under the impression the voice-lines were a definite part of the package, and would appreciate some communication/transparency on the matter.

I would also like to know the answer to this. "Complications" is super vague and the moderator posts about the voice lines have been vague as well.

It's really funny when license holders believe that by making a very open company silent, that company's customers won't quickly realize all of it is just a legal issue lol.

If it's a licensing issue, they likely wouldn't be allowed to discuss it legally.

The fact that we lost even the Mori voice lines almost kinda has me regretting buying this Killer. I didn't care about Pinhead or even his DbD kit, I just thought the character was the coolest. He feels lifeless and neutered now. Which is fine I guess, I'm used to being disappointed whenever something good happens in this game but I do wish I examined the patch notes better.
I won't yell FALSE ADVERTISING!!!!! but...I had certain expectations. We should never have seen PTB Pinhead so we wouldn't have been so utterly disappointed.

I think it was the , "I came" part, kinda broke the internet with that one.
Although I like it, maybe just remove that part and add the other line to it. There's so many lines that could be used if it's not a legal issue.

I feel bad for anyone who purchased the DLC. They were robbed of their money, and were not given what they were promised they were paying for.
It's like you just bought a Dead by Daylight DLC on Wish.

I got told is wasn't at all a scam on another thread even though i literally put my own money into it and feel jipped, but it's not a scam. You just have to be ash 5 or something to even enjoy him in the slightest

That's what I mean by "Buying a Dead by Daylight DLC on Wish". They entirely advertised the character with Voice Lines. Optimized their ad campaign around the voice lines. Had the voice lines on the PTB. All of the hype around the character was around the voice lines (don't lie to me. Everyone knew we were getting Hellraiser at some point, what we didn't expect was the great voice lines - it was a selling point).
All to just highlight and delete the voice lines on release. With the very subtle mention of it's removal in the PTB notes.
No announcement, or apology that they couldn't release the character with the voice lines (knowing full well the hype around it).
With complete understanding that many players don't check the PTB notes before buying the DLC. With complete understanding they were protected behind their clauses that they can make any changes to the game on a whim, and content from the PTB may change by release.
Yeah you were absolutely scammed. Scammed legally. Sorry for your loss.

License holders can be bitches, you just have to hope for the best
Sometimes they might ask you to remove an audio file, sometimes they make you remove the whole chapter from the store
With the mentality you propose not even a single licensed character would have ever made it into DBD, and maybe it wouldn't have been a game so big

personally, I'm fine with the lack of voice lines. legal stuff is legal stuff.

In the patch notes they put it under changes from ptb and not known issues which strongly points towards it being a license issue which further points to us not getting it back
