So this game basically becomes unplayable after 8pm
Does anyone else notice that in the morning and then after 6 pm is when the sweatiest players are all on?
Like the only decent hours to play for casual fun are between 2-6 pm

I'm an insomniac so sometimes playing through the night. A lot of sweatfests between 1am and 7am on eu server.

Yes. The kids play before school, and then after dinner.

*cries in college student only able to play after 11pm*

It's always 8pm somewhere.

Yeah as soon as schools out, it becomes insufferable

That's any game with a multiplayer. After dinner going into midnight, the try hards come out. Morning or afternoon there's more players that just wanna chill and have fun.

Night time DBD is something else man. Some of the most deranged individuals i have ever seen crawl out of their dens at night to exclusively play this game. Methinks its because only the most dedicated dbd players actually bother to stay past reasonable sleeping hours to keep playing this game.

In the past it would work like this for me. Mornings, if i played killer, i would get SWF sweat squads every game, if i played survivor i'd get baby killers. In the evening, i would get megheads when i played killer, and camping/tunneling nurse mains as survivor. In general in my experience the sweaty survivors played in the morning, and the sweaty killers in the evening.

For me, killer is the best untill 7PM, after that only survivor is playable because I seem to get the best survivors on the planet in my team and the most bm-able killers ever. Seriously I feel bad for those killers seeing as they are just bad and my team bms them like crazy...

Yes. I notice this as well. Matches are miserable at night

I always get red ranks sweat squad and toxic players on EU in the afternoon. Things clam down and get easier in the evening.

Night and weekends are the fun times for me.
Best matches are from 3pm to 8pm. However the que time for killer is longer during this period. However survivor is quit enjoyable at these times because you get a pretty mixed bag of killer: Everything from tryhards with full-slowdown build to troll/fun build Killers.
As a killer it is the same: You get everything from the 4 men russian death squad to a full soloQ lobby that never found Pinheads box.
On the weekends however there are a lot more coordinated survivors and tryhard killers.
I know this, I accept it and honestly its fine as long as I know what I am getting into.

Who has time to play between 2 and 6?

Probably because during the day, most players are at work and they either play a few games before their work time or they play when they come back ? ^^

Same. After 1am is the most competitive times for me.

It'll be interesting to know how SBMM affects this. I've noticed it did get tougher before, but it was more that I would likely get bitter people spitting feathers after a loss at those times than anything else.

My lobby-load times & matches themselves just feel better in the evening.
But IDK what time it is at your place when it's after 6 PM here.

Me who plays this game up until 5 AM in the morning
Hahaha... I don't know what you're talking about..

For me, it's possible to play in the evening / early morning, but I have to keep an eye on what time it is and rotate between killer and survivor. I generally don't play killer after 11PM my time, but I can have a good run of it up until then.

Just done 4 games at 10pm my time as survivor (this isn't a "Yeah, this is how it is" post. Just a segment of my experience tonight").
1. Tough game versus a Spirit on Haddonfield. 2 of us escaped, with one falling at the the final race for the gates. Epic match.
2. Very, very, very rare game where I was tunnelled into oblivion by a Cenobite with an Ebony Mori. I haven't faced what I would call a true tunneller (not a killer who I would be freed from, then dumb enough to staying its territory). It took him a while to get me first, but then being injured and rescued whilst he hung about, it was only going to go one way - straight to Hell.
3. Skilled Nurse battle, where the Nurse took pity on Cheryl and I, since 2 dc'd really early on in their hissy fit. I managed to keep the Nurse busy for a bit, but she was too good. Yet, she hooked us both twice and let is do all the gens. Once Cheryl and I did the final gen, Cheryl ran for the gate and I ran to a hook where I kept pointing at it until the Nurse understood and sacrificed me. One good turn deserves another! The Nurse put Cheryl into a dying state, but let her crawl to freedom.
4. Another Pinhead match, but this time we lucked out. 2 of us escaped on Midwich, and this Pinhead loved his hooks! Think he used them even when not needed. Anyway, he forced some epic dodges from us, but ultimately a Prestige 3 Bill and I managed to escape. To note, Bill at Prestige 3 fought like an absolute marine! My "We'll Make It" perk in that match helped a heck of a lot, but when Bill got rescued the first time by me, he seemed to feel like I was a walking green herb factory, rushing back for a quick heal then back to the fight! Never seen anything like that!

As I have always played at those hours... it is just way the game is for me.

Omg that makes a lot of sense. I kept trying to think of reasons why there seems to be this pattern. That makes the most sense lol

Thats a good point, maybe it will be less intense of a mismatch at weird hours and result in less salt overall

I play on the west coast and playing survivor in the early mornings, about 4am to 8am or so, is hell most of the time because of sweaty Asian players. I'll usually go back to back against spirits or nurses running the same cookie cutter builds and OP addons while tunneling the first victim they come across. The ques are faster but holy moly it's not worth the brain hemorrhage from the stress of solo survivor at these times.

Yes, If I play on my lunch break I usually have pretty decent, fun matches with people in my rank/skill level. If I get back on after the 9PM it is nothing but hard core sweat and I am always paired with 3 red team mates and a red killer (I am currently mid-silver). It really just sucks the fun right out of things. It bums me out that that is the most convenient time for me to play. West coast here and I would rather play mid-afternoon any day.
