Puzzle Box Bug? Mod answer if possible.
I've played several matches now against the new killer and maybe I'm doing something wrong but is it even possible to complete the puzzle while chains are actively grabbing you? I've never seen anyone do it and nor have I done it myself. How are we supposed to complete the puzzle if we're constantly being assailed by chains (which makes the progress start completely over) AND the killer can teleport to us? If it's not possible then this is way, way too OP and needs to be fixed.

Not for any of my games. I even had a teammate try to block me so I could complete it and it didn't work.

Ya I encountered this as well. I assume its a bug. Seems to occur with the puzzle box increased length add on or maybe its more noticeable. I wouldn't mind the chains attacking if it didn't interrupt the solve action specifically.

Never tried to solve it as I use pinhead, never gone against him yet, but that would make sense cause surviver start solving it, then stop about 2 to 3 times at once

I love this killer, it might even be my new favorite, and I want to play games against him but this makes it painful. I hope they fix it.

Reading the description on the Pinheads power it sounds like it is supposed to work that way.
It is also best to not wait until it has the chain hunt has started to try to solve it. Don't pick it up too early though. I say when it is around 3/4 the way full.

thats how i understood it as well. It’s intentionally harder to get done once the chainhunt started. And I have seen people (and did it myself) solve it even with the chains.

I have solved it with the chains also. Not as easy however it is possible. Don't pick it up until your ready to solve it since the survivor carrying it will have Oblivious on them and be aware that the killer may appear.

So, first off even though it says it in the video I just want to say sorry for sounding like a whiny B. This is after dealing with this in several games. This match alone went on for nearly 26 minutes. Yes, it was that long. I can't upload the whole video because I'm cussing through the whole thing. xD In this attempt you see, I'm trying to do the box and almost finish it before I'm attacked by chains. Not once in this match was anyone ever able to complete the puzzle and that's all anyone tried to do since we couldn't really do anything else. This was the closest I personally got. Most the time I never made it past a quarter progress. Also pause on the last image after my character gets hit. It's hilarious. lmao

I think it's good that it's hard to do when the chain hunt has already started. Sucks when Pinhead is applying a lot of pressure or you struggle to find the Box, but I think the way it is now discourages Survivors from trying to be completely optimal or something.

dodge a chain then start on the box the delay between more chains spawning should be enough to start solving the box which prevents chains from spawning

I must just suck because I did try to dodge them throughout the game and so did the others. We just couldn't get it done. No one managed to complete the puzzle even one time after the chain attack started. Also moving starts the box's progress all over and you can't move while actively solving it.

Sorry to say, but it's just you messing up.
As soon as you start solving the box, the Chains will stop spawning, you kept tapping it and running, then tappingit again. The final set of chains you were attacked by were from Pinhead himself, likely using a build I figured out.

I never once tapped it. I held the button down the whole time.

You can clearly see in the video the chain attacking me is what's stopping the progress.

The first chain, yes. But you got healed, which spawned more chains targeting you.
If you would have immediately returned to solving the box instead of healing, you would have prevented the other chains from spawning

I can upload another where I'm not being healed (where no one is around me at all) and I still can't complete or even get remotely close to completing the box because the chains keep attacking me. So, no that's not true.

Could you upload that other video to this bug report, apparently they need further info on that (You also have the official answer to your problem there, starting the interaction with the box should prevent new chains from appearing):

It doesn't, though. I've had several matches where I dodge the chains, start solving the box, and more spawn to interrupt me, over and over again. It's not just immediate, either -- I can be 25% of the way into the solve and chains will spawn to interrupt me.
