Can't play killer because of queue times
No matter what time of day it is since this patch came out, it's been instant lobbies for survivors and 5+ minutes waiting for a killer lobby. You would think it would be the opposite. A killer-only chapter just came out, and everybody's testing out the new killer, so why aren't the killer queues short and the survivor ones long? This is a serious problem because I happen to prefer playing killer, just as many others do. If we can't play the role we want then why are we playing? This isn't Friday the 13th.

I spent over a year being unable to play to survivor due to ques that averaged 20 minutes and occasionally exceeded 40. 5+ is now the norm and I am in heaven.

I've had instant queue times since the chapter released for both sides. I just click the button and bam a lobby.

Erm.. No? If a Killer-only Chapter comes out (or in general, whenever a new Killer comes out), more people want to play Killer, resulting in longer Queues for Killers. This is normal, if on one side more people than necessary (which would be 4:1) queue up, their waiting times are longer.

You answered your own question, the more people playing killer the longer killer queues will be because there's less survival in the pool to pick from so you'll be waiting until enough survivors finish a match to get one. During the PTBs I wait 45+ minutes to find a killer match because that's what people want to try, the new killer or the rework of a killer.

As Aven_Fallen already said - No, it's the exact opposite. I'm not quite sure how you came to the conclusion that more killer players = faster queue times for killers. This is absolutely illogical.
A match needs 4 survivors and 1 killer to start. For simplicity let's assume we have 40 survivors in queue and 10 killers. This would result pretty much an instant queue for everybody. If we have 40 survivors and 5 killers, each killer would have an instant queue while the 20 survivors would have to wait for new killers to join the queue.
Now looking at the current situation - We have 40 survivors in queue and 40 killers in queue. How do you think that'd play out? Survivors geht instant queues while 30 out of those 40 killers will have to wait for either new survivors or for the other survivors to finish their matches.
The current situation of killers having a longer queue times is absolutely logical due to everybody wanting to play the new killer and this phenomenon is seen every single patch a new killer gets introduced. It won't last that long though. Give it a week and queue times should be shorter for killer again.

Same. That's why I'm so used to playing mostly killer now.

Well some people don't play killer at all. We know this. So I would assume there would be an equal amount of people who just want to try playing against him.

Think you are misunderstanding the concept of supply and demand.

The queues do seem a bit outrageous. And I doubt it is Pinhead hype given how rare he is in my survivor games.

And then you have people who don’t play survivor at all, so I guess it balances it out….

Daytime question are fast for survivors but slow at nighttime while it’s the opposite for killers. Trying playing killer at nighttime or late afternoon
