Kill Switch update: The issue affecting Baermar Uraz's Ugly Sweater has been fixed and the cosmetic has been reenabled in all queues with this update.

So, did Deadlock actually become meta?

I recall there was a lot of panicking when this perk was announced, and that some thought it would have a spot next to corrupt/pop/ruin. Has anyone noticed a lot of usage of this, and/or a significant additional slowdown effect?

Maybe with a combination of Ruin and Deadlock, but it's like Counterforce. People are having a fuss over nothing.

Hmmm too early to tell as most people should be just barely getting it (assuming they’re pouring points into Pinhead and didn’t save). I think it definitely has potential to be meta as it’s a very simple but effective perk. If it doesn’t become meta it’ll definitely become whatever term is beneath meta.

It doesn't regress while blocked, so it is really more of a gimmick. Kind of sad, it had potential.

It's better than Pop, so for that reason alone I like it

Pair it with ruin, though, and you basically have a Pop Goes the Weasel that works by itself whenever a generator is completed. I could see deadlock becoming paired with ruin like ruin is paired with undying.

It's decent but nothing impressive imo.

It doesn't work with Ruin. When generator is blocked it doesnt lose progress, nor does it gain it. It's basically just longer Thrilling Tremors, which is activated by survivors rather than killer. It's a good perk, but there are perks, which are much much better. After all, if there are 3 people sitting on different gens you'll still get genrushed as much as you would without Deadlock.

I don't think so. Think your still better running a combination of Ruin, Pop, Tinkerer, Undying, Corrupt and good non gen perks (Infectious, STBFL, Monitor, Bamboozle, NOED, Sloppy etc).

It's a good perk but the meta is just a lot better than it.

I versed someone recent who was using it with ruin and man I got so frustrated haha. I was close to finishing it then a genny popped so it blocked, ruin started eating it and I was like damn okay I will go cleanse this nearby dull totem and come back to it when the deadlock goes away so I don't lose the whole gen. I go back on to it a moment after it unblocks and my teammates who must have been repairing together finished the gen they got on after the 1st one and MINE BLOCKED AGAIN AND RUIN ATE ALMOST THE REST OF IT lol. I did end up getting it done but I was essentially glued to one tile tryna finish this gen for half the game haha

Edit actually now I realise it couldn't have been ruin, I saw the regression sparks and assumed but thinking back the killer must have done pop and I missed it while finding other things to do while the gen was blocked. Don't listen to me loooolll

I think the only perk it really synergizes with is Surge, since you can't kick the gen and Ruin also doesn't regress while blocked. It's kinda harsh if you have your Pop but you can't kick the gen which is like 80%. It can have crucial value, for example when there are 2 gens left and one gets finished and the other one was also nearly finished, can be a game saver then, but i don't think it's stronger than any of the meta perks.
