Stake Out is Great

When I play survivor Stake Out is one of those perks that I just got addicted to and have on like every build. I wonder how many people actually like it. I feel like some underestimate its value. It may not seem like it at each individual Stake Out usage but it honestly starts to add up and helps a lot more than some think. It helps a lot with healing and repairing. And as someone who also uses Self Care and this perk combined all the time it makes self care so much better for me. 1 final thing some people forget about is that it gives you more blood points to since you're getting the great skill check BP. I think a normal skill check is 50 BP and great skill check is like 150 or more? It definitely helps max out the objective category way faster. I love Stake Out and hope more people use it in the future.

Highly underrated yet powerful perk that people underestimate. It's also one of my favorite perks in this game, and was pretty damn well-designed.

It also allows you to do gens a lot faster, especially if you're near a killer at that point, which people seem to sleep on.

I had to stop using Stake Out because I ended up feeling less 'in the moment' in trials - that's how comfortable some perks get :P

Stake Out, Prove Thyself, Self Care, and We'll Make It is a well-rounded if slightly off meta build that I used to have a lot of fun with.

Use Stake Out with Yun-Jin's perks.

Everyone will hate you, including the killer. Guaranteed.

Great skill checks on generators are +300. You need 6 good skill checks to match one, and even if you're really on point you're gonna miss some of those greats. Stake Out (for me) is better than the Spine Chill line of perks because you get something tangible out of it while being alerted. It's not so hot against stealth killers when their terror radius is gone but the majority of matches it's beautiful.

If it's a stealth killer you should be keeping your eyes peeled anyway. (In my opinion.)

Something that has always tickled me is that a lot of people run We're Gonna Live Forever and get stacks to increase their bloodpoint gains but completely overlook Stake Out and the +300 per skill check you get for greats on generators and 150 points for Self Care, which also greatly speeds it up. You'll see survivors finish a match with somewhere around 12,000 points or so and I'm sitting at 22,000+ and I know while they tried and did well during the trial, the left a lot of points on the table because they weren't paying attention to skill checks.

I got trained to do greats back when Ruin skillchecks regressed your generator if you got a good skill check, so it was either get good or tap the generator, but I hope survivors understand that yes, your skillchecks matter.

It pairs well with Yun-Jin's perk Fast Track. Stake out guaranteeing you a great skill check and Fast Track getting lots of stacks because your sacks of altruism keep getting prepped to be dispensed can really turn the game around.

1 generator left? 27% generator progress just by touching the generator? That can mean the difference between getting someone else out with you or escaping through the hatch.
