I Ran a Perk Just for Bones.

Just had two killers in a row, four killers altogether today disconnect on me after I cleansed their totems in the first couple of minutes.
That detectives hunch has no chill.
Feels strangely cathartic.

High risk, high reward. They shouldn't have gotten butt hurt over it. No better than survivors who dc over getting downed first. Big babies.

Imagine bringing a totem perk and getting tilted that survivors... did the totem.

You jinxed yourself by posting this. Next game you cleanse a glowing totem it'll be Haunted Grounds and you'll be in the terror radius when it pops.

I went against a deathslinger once that DC’d after we cleansed his devour. It happened right after he got his first hook.

I mean... we were told to do totems and we did.
I love detectives hunch, but I think its slightly bugged.

I have a plan for that. Always Whenever there is a glowing totem I wait untill another survivor is injured then cleanse it. That way it's not too much of a inconvenience for them.

Right after I read this my teammate cleansed a Haunted Ground versus a Blight with Retribution. Guess who went back to lobby right quick...

I'd agree with this. But on some maps, its more like atmospheric risk, high reward.

DCing after their totem gets cleansed in the first few minutes?
I had my Ruin and Undying cleansed in the first 30 seconds but I still kept trucking on, sheesh.

Yesterday had a match where during the first chase the killer's Ruin and Undying were cleansed. As they were carrying the first downed survivor to a hook their Haunted Grounds was cleansed. The Killer DC'd before they hooked the survivor. My swf teammate and I couldn't help but laugh - why do a hex perk load out if you're just going to DC when your totems get cleansed.

My totem Killer build uses Detectives Hunch and Inner Strength, but I have been playing around with Counter Force instead of Detectives Hunch because of how much faster you cleanse the totems; making it so you spend less time on them and can get back to gens quicker. Nothing makes me happier than finishing a match only to see that my totem fixation paid off since the killer brought in NOED, but it never activated. Honestly, If everyone just cleansed every totem they find, no one would have to spend much time doing them before they all get wiped out, but sadly, most players won't take the extra 12 seconds to do bones before hitting up a gen, and that's exactly why NOED is so Effective.
Many people say NOED is a Crutch for killers that rewards them for playing poorly, but I've come to the conclusion that because it's normally so easy to avoid (badham, RPD, and Midwitch excluded), and survivors generally tend to avoid taking that 12 second extra step in doing so... It's a crutch no doubt, but it doesn't reward the killer for playing poorly, it rewards them for the survivors laziness. After coming to that conclusion, I don't really blame killers for bringing it in anymore. After all, Killers benefit most from survivors mistakes, and ignoring something so easy to avoid most of the time until the endgame when it bites you in the ass... is definitely a survivor mistake.

Logic.

Exactly. Totems spawns are, on the whole, usually pretty awful that I'm genuinely surprised when they're NOT cleansed within the first minute of the match, lol. I just assume the worst, and if my totems actually make it past 60 seconds into a match, I almost consider that a win in itself.

Okay. Now try cleansing all 5 totems without the team dying, agaisnt a killer that can at least facecamp.

I have successfully for many games. Luckily for me I can get the lit totems within the first two completed gens, then get the remaining unlit totems as we close in on one generator left to cancel out any risk of Noed. It's a lot of fun!

I use Counterforce. Way too many killers run hexes these days, and I still don't get it. They're such inconsistent perks. You can have them up all game or someone spawns on them.

I second that. In my latest match I had my undying and my ruin cleansed a few seconds after starting my first chase EVEN THOUGH I started my first chase at one of those totems to prevent it from getting cleansed (I went straight to it when the trial started).
So 1 survivor found undying on the other side of the map while 2 survivors found my ruin, which I wanted to protect, at the same time and I didn't see the third survivor who was camping my ruin and just waiting for me to leave to area while chasing the second dude.
Yeah, high risk high reward but why not just spawn hex totems with a big LED sign over them while we're at it? Doesn't make a difference anyways. 😂

Its all killers have. Without ruin you get zero value from chasing a survivor off a gen and you will be lucky to get 6 hooks before the game is over.

How the hell do you run Hex perks and NOT get used to them getting cleansed 15 seconds in? That is the biggest shock to me, not how large of a bebe they are... But how they went that long without knowing the pain, not knowing whether it is worth Undying and compromise your whole build to add like another minute or two of life to your totem.

I'd rather Hexes be power based.
No totems but can be chosen when to be used for "x" duration. After meeting a certain requirement.
Say Noed, after getting 2 hooks, you can activate, for 30 secs all survs are exposed. single use only.
Things, like that. Kick 3 gens, can use ruin, all gens not being worked on start regressing for 20 secs.
It makes them useful for powerplay moves.
Can also say when they can't be used.

I had a match where I cleansed 4/5 totems but the killer was running TOTH and Crowd Control
And I got caught on the last totem... I was almost done cleansing it when the killer came up to check on it found me instead
Safe to say I didn't get that many Objective points... But filled up Boldness

I did bones and recorded it just for you

Had a Legion last night with Ruin and DH. I was running Small Game so I got them both inside of a minute of each other. To their credit they stayed and it was a really good back and forth game. Sadly a Cheryl DC'd relatively early though.
