Been a long time PC player but due to My pc going full crap on me and unable to recover my Steam account I got a new version of DBD on Xbox One, here are my findings from playing for a week.

1: Killers do not use any meta perks: Seen ruin maybe 10 times and most of them at tier 1. I've seen killers pretty much use a hodge podge of perks and a few on their innate perks. The one I see the most is Moniter and Abuse. I have also seen some janky perks like Monsterous Shrine and Spies from the Shadows being used.

2: Survivors generally are very bad: Chases last less than 15 seconds on average, great skill checks are almost impossible to land so gen time seems like 10 seconds longer on average compared to pc, survivors unhook as soon as possible and typically right near the killer or they don't unhook at all and don't do gens. Flashlights are never used and getting healing from teammates requires almost a 10 second butt dance to acquire. Randomly though you will end up with decent team mates who do gens and keep the killer busy.

3: Killer Diversity? : Most killers I see are Trappers and Legion. Due to the environment they will either get a 4k or 0k. Literally only seen 2 nurses, 2 freddys, 2 hillbillys, 2 clowns, 3 pigs, 2 spirits, 1 wraith, 1 hag, 3 myers, 3 docs, 2 huntresses, and about 50 legions and 30 trappers.

4: Game balance: Due to the smaller and more isolated community and overall skill level the game is more favorable to killers (except nurse due to controls). Game runs about 3 minutes longer on average than any game I've ever played on pc. Survivors also seem less cocky and toxic and are less team players than pc players. Killers also seem more threatening since they cannot be bullied post lobby and are free to play however they want.

Overall I'm having more fun with the game that I did on PC. Not seeing Ruin every match is nice, not dealing with toxic chat is nice, and I feel like the game is in a better state of balance.

I never played on PC but I have been on PS4 since launch. I cannot make any comparisons to PC but here are my observations on a few points you made.

    1. Killer perks vary wildly from what I have seen. Though I have seen in the last 6 months killers getting more streamlined in perk usage.

    2. Survivors on console are all over the place. You will have some that are very good, practiced and disciplined. You have others that are have no clue when to unhook or aim a flashlight (granted I suck at flashlights but that is beside the point)

    3. I am actually surprised at the number of trappers you have seen. Legion though I am not. I cannot speak for PC or Xbox but from what I seen on PS4, the next 6 weeks after a DLC release, every 3rd or 4th match, you see the new killer. Nurse is a rare beast but usually when you see her, run like hell, usually whoever is playing her has mastered her and is lethal.

    4. For the most part, the player base is less toxic on PS4, the lack of after match chat has a big part to do with it. It takes a bit of extra effort to be toxic, but much easier to ignore and block.

I will be honest, from all I have heard of the PC community, I doubt I would ever play that platform even though I perform PC gaming in general.

Never played on of but as some say ps4 is less toxic and takes a bit more skill for some players and killers though it's nice to meet the nice ones as well and you get a lot more farming and kyf games for practice and messing about (like my.last game with friends played scratch mirror myres remember me dying light monitor and abuse and save the vest for last)

Where is the one about the insane amount of kids that camp and tunnel? Xbox one is horrendous for that. It starts at 20 and dosent normally end until rank 2-3. Also what rank are you? I personally see ruin every other game.

I play on Xbox and I can definitively state that your findings are incorrect. Maybe at rank <15 it's true, but get to rank 1, as both killer and survivor, and you will see how wrong you are. Ruin shows up in almost every game I played at rank 1, to the point I just expect the killer to always have it and have learned to just do great skill checks and I know where all the totems spawn.

The only thing that's somewhat correct is the variability between killers. Nurse and Huntress are rare, and majority of players using them are not that good. However there are several VERY good Nurse/Huntress players on Xbox (I'd like to consider myself one of them but I digress). More common at high ranks are Myers, Billy, Wraith, and LF. There are also a lot of good survivors that can give you the run around for quite some time.

All I really see from the OP is you need to rank up. Because everything you say contradicts my experience entirely.

Can't speak to xbox but ps4 kinda turned into a pooshow since it went free 2 play. Experience varies wildly at all ranks.

I'm on PS4, Survivors don't generally get good until Rank 13 or 12, everything below that then you're on your own, you get camped, no teamwork, you either get yourself out or you're not going to. Higher up though the teamwork is much better and just keeps getting better,

Killer diversity is small IMO, I see a lot of Wraiths, Myers, Leatherface, loads of Legions of course. I want to see more Spirits and Clowns, Nurses are rare and a joke, Billy is still dominant, I see lots of camping Hags which is laughable and disgraceful. And the toxicty of the Survivors is lethal, it can get real bad, whole teams just spamming you with messages to distract you from catching their team, DC because you're ''boring'' DC at the hook, excessive bodyblocking, and saving. Though I don't mind the excessive saving, once you know they're doing it then it becomes real easy because they lose like half their brain and forget about the Gens. Either a Killer gets 0 kills or 4 kills in my Survivor games, it's rare for inbetweens which is sad.

Just got to rank 10 so I have been seeing it more now and I'm getting matched up against red ranks :/ doesn't bother me none I've been running small game just because of the high amount of Trappers I encounter. The only strong killers on here are Billy and Myers. Freddy is abnormally strong too since teamplay is weaker. I just say that it's more fun when the survivors seem to be less efficient.

The problem with Nurse though, is that you can abuse map locations way easier on console (cars, boxes, trees) and they generally can't hit you through them.

Wait what happened to the xbox players? Last time I went on Console, even rank 20 had some pro survivors and I played at every rank at least 5 times and most survivors were top tier? Have the good ones gone to PC or quit the game? I went to PC myself but if all the good survivors have GONE from console then I honestly might just chill on PC after they optimise it.
