Other games like DBD?
Sadly DBD has become a train wreck for me which is a shame because stalking people as Myers and chasing them as Leatherface is so awesome.
But when every game is just survivors running loops around me while I flail and try to catch them its just not fun. Add to that the vitriolic abuse you get if someone does die and its a really negative gaming experience.
I'm looking for a game to replace DBD.
Sadly they seem to have the monopoly on the classic slasher flick killers so I'm really struggling to find a game that lets you play the killer role in the same way. Its fun to be the bad guy and so few games do it.
Most survival horror is from the survivor point of view and they are all kinda samey.
I played Friday the 13th but its really dated these days, although the solo gamplay keeps me coming back for a few kills.
I guess my dream game would be to play as Myers, Leatherface, Ghostface or equivalents etc etc in an offline solo mode. I really wish DBD had an offline solo mode. There is no other game like it but I'm so tired of the online gaming experience.

There are couple on the horizon like VHS and Evil Dead: The Game, but nothing current. Everything else that was on the market is pretty much dead.

Identify V. It's on mobile & PC, but the balancing is way worse than dbd. The survivors have their own powers however

Cheers for the suggestions so far.
I've tried HSHS, it was ok, bit clunky still. also yeah the wait times are terrible. Its still early access so maybe we'll see more from it. I played a buddies version as I don't often pick up early access stuff. We are both looking for DBD alternatives.
I tried, last year the nightmare, but its gameplay is just ugh and the community is more toxic than DBD.
I guess my gripe isn't so much with DBD but more with being forced to play it online.
There is only so many times you can play the tutorial bots to at least get a quick dbd fix without all the tantruming and trolling.

Has anyone tried predator hunting grounds?
I know its still PVP, but there is only so many times you can replay the AVP pred missions.
I'm a product of the 80's and grew up with Terminator and Predator.
The Terminator Resistance infiltrator mode was great.

I too am a old school Predator fan, but after a week Hunting Grounds got kind of stale. Same with Resident Evil Resistance.

I recommend the game Deceit, I know a lot of people (including myself) who play both Deceit and DbD as their main games.

Just played my first match of predator hunting grounds. So much fun.
Also has solo play custom game with bots so aft the queue times got to long I just played a few solo matches for fun and called it.
Think this will be my new go to.
I'll come back to DBD when they implement custom game bots.
