but that's the thing. You ask for killer mains opinons and you just shut anyone down with "kIlLeR iS eAsY" when it clearly is not. Otz is one of the best killers out there if not the best. Now as a killer main killer is not easy, but your probably just going to ignore this aren't you.

He was claiming that this game is incredibly easy for survivors.

just pointing out otz cause he's an easy example to illustrate that no the game is not survivor sided if it was then doing what it does wouldn't really be feasible with the consistency he does. He also plays survivor really well and you can see that as good as he is your not seeing massive 4 escapr streaks. He was also running against higher level survivors so no one could claim he was playing against noobies who don't know what they are doing.

I main survivor but even I don't have trouble getting 3 or 4ks regularly.

To be clear while I will say it's easier to win as a killer it's not extremely easy to win as a killer and it is certainly not impossible to win as a killer like he was claiming

The MMR change has made my solo survivor games much better actually as my teammates actually do the gens and will rescue you off the hook and have a brain. The old system was painful for me because my teammates would let me die on the first hook quite often and just were too scared to rescue or do anything, that was annoying. Honestly the MMR system works great for solos but makes my killer games very very very challenging.

Ah yes. The good old days where infinites were everywhere, Pallets everywhere, Downed to healthy state, and the list goes on.

I am a Solo Q therefore please make me strong because I have to deal with randoms :(

I swear Solo Q boys in this game have the some amazing sense of entitlement, Wanting buffs because they have to deal with randoms like every other game with teams yet I don't see those guys wanting buffs.

No win streak videos since sbmm went live. At least not as killer.

But as solo survivor he has had some win streaks. Makes you think, huh?

Do you think he's aware of Marth and his crew going on 100+ survivor win streaks?

Your experience seems to differ from most others though, saying that even solo survivors have the upper hand is imo not true. I played this game nearly every day for the past 2 years and everyone i know (and i met some people in this time, i have over 30 dbd-people in my steam friendlist) tries to play swf whenever possible because solo is just a nightmare. And no they're not babies, most of them have over 2k hours, like me. I also saw myself as a killer main for the most time and i never had problems in 3 of 4 matches, even at rank 1. I came to the conclusion that i'm just good as killer, well turns out after playing against really good swf's i'm not that good and i'm just boosted by your usual pub matches where killers dominate. Even with mmr i still win at least 50% of the time, possibly more (haven't played much killer since then though).

But survivor? The only time i feel we "dominate" (which kinda seems to be the thing that all killers dream about, right? being the dominant power guy which everyone is afraid of) is when i play with the best players/ loopers i know - then we escape like 60-70% of the time (before mmr). Since mmr things have changed as all we got was Nurses, Blight and Ruin/Undying/Tinkerer/Pop gamers with 3-4k hours. When i play with "normal" players in a 4man with voice comm where no one is sweating crazy (no maps, no meta perk setups), we don't stand a chance against killers who sweat.

Being able to loop is the most important thing because that's where killers lose most of their time. A 4 man with voice comm achieves nothing if no one can loop and goes down after 15 seconds every time. A team of 4 strong solo loopers can beat most stronger players. Besides that, you rarely see those, at least i haven't (i play Wraith most of the time and did fine at rank 1).

he's only playing against the good teams now because his MMR is probably rocket high, not the usual solo pub trash from old red ranks. He's not a good survivor, he has knowledge about the game of course but he's not a good looper, so he's not playing against good killers most of the time i guess.

If you’re Solo Q there is absolutely NO sensible reason that you do not run Plunderers (To find a key). Solo Q means you can’t fully rely on your “teams”. NEVER. Countless times I’ve been T-Bagged, and abandoned. Even if the save is EZ. Even if I did all the work. 🤣

How players think another player should play is make believe nonsense. It’s frustrating sometimes to be tunneled/camped etc… However, the devs solution to player complaints is nerfing things. They make things worse…

Rank is irrelevant. It resets. You gain BPs from every match even if it’s a little. You lose nothing, except maybe add ons/items… Handicapping yourself isn’t skill. It’s dumb. Streamers propagate this idea to the communities so when they do lose they can tell their audience “If I had my perks I would’ve won!” or “Omg Ruin, Tinkerer, Undying is how you won”. Half the killer perks are ineffective due to comms alone, and you want killers to use that..? If you watch streamers often enough I guarantee that you’ll see them contradicting themselves. 😭

    Probably not.

Honestly, i always find it fascinating how our community reacts when someone says that survivors are the power role. People instantly come in and claim "yeah, you must be a bad killer if you lose" "its a you problem" "i main survivor, and when i play killer for a daily, i get a ez 4k", etc.

Its almost like when they have easy killer matches, it could be simply because they face bad survivors. But nooo this is impossible...

Could be because he already has winstreaks with the strongest Killers and all who are left are the B-Tier and below Killers. Those are significantly harder than Nurse, Blight, Spirit or even Billy.

I still think Otz can do it if he wants and I do not even know if it is harder for him now. He always had tryhard teams during his runs some even playing at his time just to get a shot at his streak when it was high enough (and no, I do not think this is scummy, this adds to the challange).

I did not watch his streams for some time, even thou they are pretty neet, because I had to play Pinhead.

Could be true. However that would depend on how the MMR system works.

If it has a cap not much will change for Otz or other streamers. If it does not that it gets bet. Maybe his winstreaks would even get a boost when he tries a truly new killer because that killer has a different MMR. Depends on how much MMR difference between Killers is allowed. And finaly the question is how fast does MMR decay when you loose. Because that would influence Otz opponents.

There are to many factors to considere when talking about this that are uncertain.

Its a bit like cryptography: We know what comes out be we can not deduce the original input.

Thats where you´re wrong. No killer has a power phantasy. No killer dreams about dominating survivors. Killers are just other players that want to have fun. But some matches simply are as fun as a root canal treatment. Of course, not all matches are like that. But those matches really tear a killers motivation to play "nice" down.

The term Bully squads is very old. Because survivors have been able to bully killers from the very beginning of the game. We had streamers that specifically bullied killers and announced it on their videos. Because it´s "cool" to make that killer disconnect. I can understand when someone wants to uninstall the game after such an experience.

Oh thats funny. He isn´t a good survivor, but he escaped most of his matches as solo in his last streams. As a matter of fact, most killers only got between 3 and 6 hooks.

As far as i´ve seen. No killer main streamer has done a win streak since sbmm went live. Even more, i´ve seen a couple of them quit the game.

The thread has gone a bit off-topic from the original post and essence of it about discussing many other different topics, it's gonna be locked now!
