internet disconnects then penalty...
i have been getting disconnected from my internet which isn't the bad part. the problem is the penalty. it bans me for 6 hours cuz my internet decides to take a fat dump while my game is still going.

And? Why shouldn't you be penalized for playing when your internet is not stable? Your disconnect adversely affects everyone else in the match. If you know you are having internet issues do not play games where others rely on you having stable internet. If you have a 6 hour ban that tells me you either purposefully disconnected a few times in the past 24 hours AND disconnected due to poor internet... OR you have disconnected a lot the past 24 hours due to continually trying to play when your internet is not stable - either way - the ban is deserved.

1.Disconect. me:okay... im gonna watch youtube while it finishes.*goes back on and its done* Alright...its done and it didnt disconnect while i was on youtube so its gonna work when i play. Right? Wrong. 2.other games. most other games that arent online are pretty boring to me. i just have a special place in my heart for dbd so its hard to take a break

You sure it was really your internet connection mate?
Also if you have terrible internet connection, then maybe you should be looking at fixing that first or don't play 9nline games if you don't want to suffer the consequences

and yes.. it is the internet. it says No network connection. ive only actually dc'd twice. I know. sounds unbelieveable. but once was when my brother played a match on my account without asking and the 2nd time was when i was doing so bad. 1 hook and the gates were opened.

Sorry but i find that hard to believe that you get a 6hr ban for 2 times dc'ing and some internet issues.
Like i said you had to leave the match early many times to get a 6hr ban.
And if that was indeed you're connection all the time, than that is up to you to fix that or don't play online how harsh it may sound.
To game can check whether your internet has issues or if you dc on purpose.
So in every game you will get punished 1 way or another for leaving the match early, whether it be on purpose or by yourself.
Therefore they can only give a time ban when someone leaves early because it is impossible to check if it was a connection error or not.
So if your internet is the problem then it is up to you to solve that problem, or just avoid online in general.
I know it sounds harsh tho, but that is the reality to it.

Unfortunately, as it is easy to fake a crash intentionally, it will also penalize those whose connection genuinely crashes. However, if you wish to appeal your DC ban, you can do so here: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000836752
I advise you to make sure that if you experience internet issues, to avoid playing the game until those are fixed as it is also your responsibility.

In all seriousness it seems people forget that not everyone can afford the best internet and some people don't live in cities but still wanna enjoy the game THEY purchased.

Then those people should accept that sometimes they're going to have to deal with copping a punishment for their internet cutting out.
Each time it happens, it's ruining the match for the four other players left in it. That shouldn't be allowed to constantly happen unpunished. It's your bad internet that ruined the match, not theirs. They shouldn't have to deal with it, but they're forced to because of other people with crappy connection.

stop assuming dcs are intentional please, if you havent had any disconnect issues, then you're one of the lucky ones. server im playing is based in asia and i've gathered up to 1 hour ban because of the latest update causing me to randomly dc..

You should read a little bit further before saying something 😉
I also said, if it is indeed the internet connection then you got 2 choices.
1 stop playing online games with penalties.
2 jeep playing online games with penalties and accept them without crying about it.
If you know your connection is not stable and it keeps kicking you out of the matches but you decide to continue to try, then you should accept the penalty that comes with it as well.
It is impossible to check for this game (and every other game) if you disconnect on purpose or that it is a internet issue.
You can fake a "accidental" easily when it not goes your way which the system can't know.
Therefore you will always get a penalty for a dc, no matter it was your fault or not.
I'm not assuming anything here mate, I'm just asking it.
Because everyone can say it is not their fault even thought they do dc on purpose.

If you can't afford or otherwise get stable internet then why are you buying games that specifically need that.
It's like jumping in a river to catch fish by hand and when others come to complain your splashes are scaring away the fishes you then say not everyone can affort a fishing line.
If you can't afford to do a hobby find one you can. Now you are not only annoying yourself with randomly Dcing from your game but everyone who was in the game as well.

Maybe look into the system requirements of a game you purchase which specifically states you need a good Internet connection...

the two choices that you presented are terrible and it seems like you are defending bhvr's screwup. i literally stated that after the latest update this whole thing started to happen, meaning BEFORE the update, i had no issues whatsoever. my connection is stable for all games except for dbd now. thank lord i didnt buy all the chapters, game keeps getting worse every update. again, you are lucky that it did not affect you.

If you know it is terrible atm for you on dbd then why play it when you know you will get disconnected and get a penalty?
It destroys your fun and get annoyed by it, but that goes for the 4 other people in the match as well.
Why not play a different game in the meantime while they're fixing the problem?
Yes i know you like this game very much, but is the frustration worth it and for the people in the match when you get disconnected again and again and again,etc?
Also i wasn't only talking about you, i was taking in general and there are many people with terrible internet.
Secondly, i agree with bhvr very, very, very, very, very rarely.
So no i never defend them when they screw up, which they do a lot.
Again this isn't only about you, I'm taking in general ✌️
