How did the devs miss being healed by SOMEONE ELSE not deactivating Decisive Strike?

I understand it's probably to prevent survivors griefing each other. But if you've been healed a full health state, you should not still have decisive rofl.

I've eaten 3 DS's in the last 2 games due to moron survivors who get healed off the hook and step into a trap. Oops I tunneled?

My guess is it’d probably be overkill.

Maybe because your reason was already correct, to stop single tap griefijg by other survivors and your trapper scenario being so niche that they can't make it a pivot point for this overall change?

Also if you remember them being the last one hooked in less than a minute, why not simply down them with a hit instead of grabbing them out of you trap and leave them slugged?

While we are on the subject, I don't know why tapping a self heal turns off DS.

being healed 1-99% does nothing for the survivors. It doesn't progress the game towards the survivors favor as there is no such thing as half a damage state.

Unless if you’re a one-shot killer, you probably won’t have enough time to down them while DS is still up anyway if they’re fully healed.

Neither does healing someone else, yet that deactivates DS

You think its niche to down a survivor before their DS is up after they've been healed? I do it constantly as Nurse/Trapper/Doc/Bubba etc etc. It's not even close to niche lol

Why doesn't it activates after every unhook? Tunneling is Tunneling after every unhook even if its been used.

It's not a perfect anti tunnel perk and it's fine.

When you are being healed by somebody else you are not progressing the game, somebody else is. It doesn't deactivate when someone else touches a generator or heals you, only when you do those things.

I dont mind that tbh, perk should still be strong, that would be too much of a nerf and noone would use it anymore

I've become more understandable when it comes to decisive, but I would say that if you get healed back to full health it should become deactivated. This debatable when it comes to second wind or inner strength though, I'll allow it.

You are tunneling pretty hard if you do go for the healthy unhooked guy, the excuse that they might be the easier target because they were injured does not even work here.

It is fine, the main thing is that the Survivor did not progress the game. Even if you get hit by DS after they were fully healed, they did not spend a second on a Gen after the Unhook.

It'd be pretty bullshit if a teammate accidentally tapped you once while the killer was about to tunnel you and welp your defense is gone

I dislike Decisive, but unless they healed themselves, I fail to see why it should disable itself.

The niche part was about your specific trapper example, which i guess is an attempt at an excuse to dissuade the notion that you didn't tunnel.

To your point of those other killers, healing a survivor without any perks or items takes 16 seconds for one health state, leaving 44 seconds to find and hit this survivor twice which should be enough or less than 10 seconds remaining on their DS without instadowns. So playing around it should not be that big of a problem.

DS deactivation and healing/self-healing needs some tweaks. However, it's not a major issue. Also, in your case you simply misplayed, the problem wasn't DS not deactivating.
