How is this fair?

These are the hours of three of the Survivors I just went up against. The last one was console, so I can't say what they were but they didn't seem amazing either. They didn't have any perks, so maybe they were going for the Power Moves achievement.

Here are my current hours on steam (I have over 1500-2000 on my old PS4 account, but there is no way for SBMM to take that into account so I'm not including it.)

I was playing a meme build with Trapper, who I have admittedly not played in about a month and a half, but even then I should not be getting Survivor's who I literally have ten times the amount of time played. And it's not like they were Smurfs, when I actually tried I downed them all within a minute. I let them all go anyways, I wasn't aiming to kill them, but I know that I could've. This isn't me being cocky- They were bad at the game because they are new.

How in what way is this fair? When ranks were a thing, I was consistently Red ranked, and even now I'm approaching Iridescent (though that doesn't mean anything anymore). I wouldn't be surprised if none of these survivors even knew what Mad Grit was. I consistently get above a 2k on my main killers - Most of the time a 4k. No matter what way you spin it, I should not be playing against new survivors even when on a Killer I don't play alot.

There was a Bill and a Meg who are only playing with their teachables and generic perks, and a David who has a few other teachables (who had the most amount of hours.) Bill had a key- Doesn't matter, he didn't use it.

If I would have actually tried, it probably would've been a slaughter. Even as a Killer I don't play much.

I've seen a few cases like this with SBMM, but this is by far the worst I've seen so far. It's like this game hates its player base, especially its new players.

A bottom tier killer running a meme build in a non sweat minded playstyle going against people who are new and learning? Yeah sounds like MMR doing it's job.

But MMR doesn't take perks nor add-ons into account. It had no way of knowing I wasn't going to sweat, it can't read my mind.

If I chose to sweat they'd all be dead. It doesn't matter if Trapper is bottom tier.

MMR was destined to create unfair scenarios.

    This was expected.

At first, it seemed decent. I had to sweat more than usual, but my matches were more fair.

I don't know when or why, but SBMM ######### nosedived off a cliff and my matches are one of two extremes.

Because MMR doesn't count your play hours. It doesn't matter cause u can have 100500 hours and still suck. It counts your results. If u want to get sweaty or just good players against u, kill constantly. After about 5 4K's in a row survivors level will change. U will feel it. So more u kill, better survivors u will face.

I'm not sure what you're complaining about. So you wanted to run a meme build that had no pressure against a 4man swat swf with all meta perks and items?

Your missing my point completely. My point is that I am a relatively high skill player. I can consistently get kills against most teams, even against sweaty SWF.

There is no world where I should be going against legitimately new players, even as a Killer I do not play much. It's legitimately unfair for the other side.

So yes, I guess I would've rather gone against a swat SWF then have SBMM be so entirely unbalanced.

U should be happy. They even sang your song at end game chat

"Here comes the trapper..... You'd better watch out for his traps.... " 🎵

Hours aren't representative of skill. They really, really aren't. Hell, the sweatiest bits of DbD are the ones with the least skil that can easily be mastered by new players.

It depends. 300 hours is a lot closer to 96 than 2000 hours is -- if you were the closest match they had available in the pool, then this could be legit. Also, if you don't play this account very much, the MMR might not have good data on you yet.
