Nerf Ruin + Undying combo
Its not even that its overpowered its just simply annoying just like Decisive, and its an easy 2 hooks before 1 gen pops if the killer is actually good. Doesnt help that nearly every game i see these 2 perks

I wouldn't say to nerf the Ruin Undying combo. Just take the Tinkerer far, far away.

How would you nerf it? Undying has already been nerfed, and Ruin is fine.
Tinkerer is the only problematic perk in that usual combo in my opinion.

so if its not overpowered then why nerf it? .... lol. killer needs gen regression to actually keep some control of the match. gens fly even doing a gen solo depending on the chase with a survivor one gen can be almost half way by that point if it goes on longer 2 3 gens can pop in that time. if you dont play killer. play you will soon understand how rough the killer has it or can

The problem kinda lies in certain killers using it. Ruin undying on a killer like clown is fine but on someone like nurse it can be overwhelming

Tinkerer is not problematic in this combination. The problem are survivor with goldfish memory, who never return to the almost completed gen after they are chased away. This teammates are so frustrating. The killer cant stop 4 tinkerer at once. Even 2 are problematic. Tinkerer is consistent.
Ruin/Undying is different. Totems spots are so inconsistent. On some maps i can spot them from 20 meters and on others i hear the sound first. So most of the time both totems are gone in one minute, but on others you need a map to get the same result.
Personally i dont think any perk needs really a nerf, but i wouldnt care for a 1 minute cooldown for tinkerer on the same gen. Playing against a blight, who doesnt chase, can be boring.

Ruin/Undying is a very strong combination, which is mitigated by the fact that the killer must go to the survivors to chase them away from the gens to get any regression, and the fact that it can be completely removed from the game.
Tinkerer takes away the first drawback. You do not need to play the game well to get a lot of value out of Ruin, and if you have a map like Saloon or Midwich you have a very easy time because of the totem spawns. With Tinkerer, the part of Ruin which needs you to use your brain is removed almost entirely, especially since you can have multple Tinkerer procs per gen.
Furthermore, the way to counter Tinkerer is to coordinate Tinkerer procs, yes? Now, attempt to do this in solo queue. You can't. You physically cannot because it requires you to coordinate anything, which in solo is already near impossible with the limited options you have.
Not to mention, Tinkerer when used with Pop over RuinDying is still an issue for the exact same reasons, except you need to be decent at chases to get a lot of value from it. Alternatively, you just play Spirit with Ruin, Undying, Tinkerer, and Pop. Or Blight.
Tinkerer is the problem child of the perk combo. Tinkerer needs the change, not the Ruin or the Undying. It is too overbearing on solo players and the only real counterplay is hoping the killer is bad, or playing in a SWF.

Ruin Undying is okay, the only nerf we can talk about is Tinkerer.

Id much rather them incorporate gen regression as a built in feature albiet much slower rather than it being perk related it just makes ruin a must have a lot of the time. Then it would open up a slot so as too not feel so cookie cutter all the time for a killer.

What's annoying is Hex: Plaything.
What's also annoying was BHVR's band aid to atrocious totem spawns was to create a hex to protect hexes. Undying/Ruin is two perks, my friend, two perks that get trashed early on and in nearly every stinkin' game.

If survivors are actually good, killer is lucky to get 4-6 hook for entire game. So it's problem in your playstyle and not in Ruin which lasts somewhere around 1-2min.

When a blight is constantly putting someone down, there's no time to look for a totem. By the time you already found it, it's already game over.

I play only solo and with decent teammates its not hard to proc many tinkerer at once. Simply bc one gets chased and the three other start a gen immediately at the start of the game. Some spawn close to a gen, but even if there is a difference from 15 sec the killer is in trouble. Then you loop the arriving killer and if you can stall for 20 seconds, the killer hears another tinkerer and you go back to your gen. The last gens are more complicated, but if everyone is pushing gens tinkerer procs a lot. (2 survivor need around 30 sec to proc a tinkerer)
The problem is if only half of the team is doing gens and the other is searching for the totem and doesnt find it quickly. Thats why i prefer to only look near me for the totem and dont do a map tour at the start. (except corrupt intervention) So for me the problem with solo que are still bad players, even when MMR made it better.

Tinkerer is fine, spine chill tell you when the killer is coming, you can’t expect solo queue be a 100% win rate for survivors. Maybe it’s a family that’s letting their kids play for the first time or a someone teaching their friend this game, you never know. And if your that worry about losing because you have no pro team, go find a swf. Tinkerer don’t win games, it just don’t make games a easy 3 min gen rush lol and that’s only with 3 other perks to combo with. Tinkerer by itself is decent at best lol

More than welcome to nerf every single gen regression perk into the ground once they fix the fact that they're absolutely necessary on any killer, specifically non-top 3 killers. The first step to fixing a problem is admitting there is one, not creating band-aids in the form of more gen regression perks.

No, by itself it's okay, it's when used in combination of regression perks on a high mobility killer to stomp solos and have substantially less effect vs SWF it becomes problematic and unhealthy game design. You shouldn't be punished that harshly just because your friends are busy.

you should at least try to take advantage of every second when the killer is busy doing anything else, killer is a just a player they can’t really multitask especially juggling 3 other survivors.

Remember old Ruin Undying current is much better only 2 totems as opposed to between 2 and 4 depending on how lucky you got. Ruin is fine as is and Undying isnt that great outside of ruin undying and devour undying. Like 1 nerf to effect ruin undying is maybe when a totem is respawned via Undying it only has its tier 1 effect but even then it would make undying more worthless with any other hex. I feel tinkerer is the issue probably.

Tinkerer is entirely under the control of the survivors do I doubt it will ever be nerfed.
In fact Tinkerer/Ruin/Undying are all perks that are controlled by the survivors in some way making it the fairest killer meta the game has ever had:
Ruin/Undying are totems so they can both be destroyed in the first 16 seconds of a game. Also the killer has to pressure generators for these 2 to do anything at all.
Tinkerer literally only activates by survivors actions on generators and only can be reset on said generator by the killer regressing it.

Slap a cooldown on tinkerer job done. I have been trying really hard to vary my builds in dbd but the games is so horrible for killer players high up nerfing ruin undying just makes my slower killers feel awful.

Ruin/Undying is fine since the Undying nerf, just knock out two totems or cleverly brute force through. The only problem with that build is Tinkerer, which makes defending gens ridiculously easy.

Hardly. Stealth killers are countered in the majority of cases by using eyeballs. You cannot easily, and in fact incredibly rarely if at all, coordinate Tinkerer procs in solo.

Ruin does nothing if the survivor holds M1. If the killer is able to pressures 4 survivors at the start of the match, its on the survivors.

The complants about tinkerer here is making me think these survivors are too busy staring at the gen to notice an aproaching killer. How do you all handle Wraiths, Myers, GF, and Pigs I wonder?
It is my experience, Tinkerer only has value once per survivor. Once you know the killer has it you can bait them fairly easily.
One way, repair a gen to tickerer prompt. Move away from the gen. Killer comes and gets upset to find a lonely gen. Killer kicks and leaves. Go back to repairing gen. You just wasted a lot of the killers time. In turn your teammates would proc another tinkerer forcing the killer away freeing you to finish your gen.
