What should Behaviour do about survivors abusing the broken hatch mechanic?
Today i was playing plague, i was playing against a super toxic swf team.
After i killed 2 of them the other 2 were doing nothing.
I downed one of them and started chasing the last survivor.
When i downed the last survivor he disconnected from the game to give hatch to his friend.
This happens to me way too often and i'm tired of survivors abusing this broken game mechanic.
What should Behaviour do about this? (they probably won't do anything about this)

If one of two survivors remaining in a trial disconnects, the hatch should stay closed for a few seconds before opening. Maybe 10 or 15 seconds?

Anytime a survivor DCs an animation should play, something like the EGC sacrifice animation. The hatch should open at the end of the animation similar to it opening at end of hook sacrifice animation. This prevents hatch from instantly opening and would give killer some time to get to the hatch like they would if survivor was sacrificed on hook.

Rework or delete the hatch. It promotes selfishness in teammates (solo q) and it is garbo when u play killer.
Exit gates and egc should be redone when it comes to last survivors. They are rng now but some killers can make it impossible to escape through them no matter how far they are.
I never liked the hatch no matter which role I play. But it is just my opinion and most people will disagree with me which is also fine.

Make the hatch respawn at a diffrent location when someone dc.
I'm in the minority of killer mains in that I don't particularly mind keys. I like my moris, you get to like keys, and when I'm playing with friends it's a nice feeling to have that rush.
The hatch spawn mechanics, however, could at the very least use clarification, so that killers and survivors work with the same information: since survivors (off the top of my head) have two methods of tracking the hatch, I like the notion of a respawned hatch foiling the "sacrifice a few minutes disconnect penalty for a free escape" tech.

Teleport people that disconnect in general onto a basement hook instead of making them fall flat instantly. They're immediately "rushed" through their remaining hook states and can't be interacted with in any way, so even if someone's waiting for them in the basement or something they can't be saved. Makes the hatch open like it would if they were hooked, and also gives the killer proper hook credit for disconnects at any point in the match.
Anything that makes the hatch disappear or close just opens up for survivors to grief other survivors.

The game should behave to a DC as if it was a sacrifice, so that the hatch takes some time (I believe it is now about 10s) before opening. That would give the killer time to react and would prevent survivors from abusing the system.

I think it should take time to open as if the survivor got hooked still.

It should take some time to open if a survivor DC's.

killers shouldnt be able to slug the second last surv and the surv should be able to give the other guy a chance if he wishes to because its simply unfair there is no chance to get out unless one guy DC

Hatch is a mechanic meant to satisfy one Survivor with a cheap pity win because their team is losing to the Killer.
Scenario #1: Your teammate is on hook and the Killer is looking for you. You camp on Hatch hoping for a free escape and passively wait for your teammate to die. You accomplished nothing all game and hid in a bush every time you felt the Killer was near.
Scenario #2: Your team got DEMOLISHED, no gens were completed and you are the last person alive. As the Killer is about to finish you off, you luckily stumble across Hatch and the Killers hard work and skill is now slapped in the face.
Scenario #3: You brought a key and a Hatch offering. Midway through the game, you and 3 Survivors leave through Hatch. You suck at Dead By Daylight and need cheap BS to win.
Scenario #4: You plundered a key by sheer luck. 1 Teammate is dead, you find Hatch and abandon your other 2 teammates and leave them in a game now severely crippled by you escaping.
NOTHING about this mechanic is fun or interesting. It's cheap, tasteless, undeserved and selfish.

When a survivor disconnects, instead of them abruptly vanishing, do that thing during the endgame collapse where the entity comes out of the ground and sacrifices them. It would occupy a similar span of time as when they get sacrificed on a hook, it would give a better visual feedback to the killer what happened, it fits better within the game world, and would be less janky overall.

Totally different way.
The hatch spawns when there are only 2people alive. Need a "pick lock" to open it. Opening the hatch takes (this could change) 60seconds. Every 10 seconds the person picking the lock will get a VERY hard skillcheck, IF you hit the skillcheck the picking saves (so you could pick for 46secs get off and it will save the 40secs). If you miss the skillcheck it will create a sound warning for the killer. After 3skillchecks (30seconds) it will also create a sound warning.
