What does directional sound mean considering Spirit?
Is it going to be possible to know how near the Spirit will be? Or just a hint that she is phasing right/left?

You can judge where is she.

You can tell where she is based on sound if your headphones support it.

its like how huntress used to be you will be able to tell and know exactly where spirit is .... yep they went down that path .... lol. directional telling you exactly where. ridiculous eh? lol

Spirit's sound actually used to be directional in her PTB.
It is just like Huntress back when her lullaby was directional.

Pretty sure she had directional phasing in her PTB and she was kinda awful. She had other issues but her directional phasing was a huge one.
Every time they've tried directional sound (Huntress and Freddy lullaby's) it has been a massive failure and has totally killed interest in said Killer.
Additionally, this literally only KILLS her high-level viability. A casual Survivor isn't going to notice dust kicked up or the phasing, but GOOD Survivors WILL.

My guess is you will be able to judge only the direction, not the distance. Kinda like old Huntress.

All the devs needed to do is just add a 24m sound que when she phases thats all. But they went over board again.

Maybe because she already had a directional sound bug and ultimately she was still strong regardless of it. As long as its not* overkill in detecting where she is then its fine. That's my opinion anyways with spirit being one of my top played killers. The nerf don't even confront that she's still ridiculously easy to tunnel hooks with.
