My guess for what Part 2 of the dev update may hold

For context to those who didn't see the last part of the dev update: This is part 1 of 2 for the dev update, meaning we still have more to come at us.



I am gonna be optimistic about this, please be optimistic in the responses as well


Maps

I'd expect us to get our next realm beyond update for midchapter, being haggu getting her maps all updated as we had a bug awhile back where the grass in the corner was updated, but nothing else was changed on one of her maps.

I also assume this because I know the devs down at bhvr LOVE puns and jokes, so good chance this will happen next update to fit the theme of us getting Boon totems with midchapter.

This one I kinda hope for, I hope we get a new variant for haggu's maps to fit our new survivor who will have our first Boons. I'll go more indepth about Boon totems next, but i'd expect this map to possibly be reworked.


I can assume that we do have a chance to have another map reworked, but idk what map


Introduction to BOON TOTEMS

I'd expect devs to introduce us to Boon totems, and talk about how these boon totems work in depth, as in if they only apply to dull totems or can survivors apply them to hex totems to both cleanse the hex and apply to boon (Though I expect that to probably take 2x as long). In this post they'll probably talk about our first hex totem and maaaayyybeeee see a default perk become a boon with it, so we could be teased with more changes coming with the midchapter update. We could also see a reveal to the next survivor with the release of Boon totems.


Possibility of more perk changes


A dev in an interview mentioned how we will be seeing more perks in the scourge hook category, so I would like to assume that we'll be seeing some more scourge hooks

"Q) Pinhead's perk, "Scourge Hook: Gift of Pain" puts a rewarding twist on killers hooking survivors. Can we expect more "Scourge Hook" perks in the future, and why did you decide that survivors cannot see Scourge Hooks.

A) Firstly, yes, we will be seeing more Scourge Hook perks in the future. They're like Hex perks with the Hag- they won't be exclusive to him from now on out. This is a type of perk they want to create a new gameplay space with- more around the hooks.

So they chose that type of balance based on PTB feedback and internal playtesting, and this is the best set up they feel like they can have for the moment. Of course, as players interact with the perk more, and it becomes one of the normal perks you can use, they'll see if they need to adjust it a little bit more."

So I would like to assume that Monstrous shrine will be turned into a scourge hook and apply to hooks above ground, but only 4 hooks, just like Gift of Pain (Heh just noticed the abbreviation for that is GoP, now I'll be laughing at that for about 3 minutes) and we could be seeing more with it, I just dunno what we could be seeing turned into Scourge hooks yet


Conclusion

The final part of the post will probably say the PTB date, probably gonna be tuesday and i'll see people getting really happy about it...right?😅
