Need help with my Legion Build rq

I run BBQ, Pop, Surge and Thana and I'm doing decent in chases but the build still falls short to SBMM, my guess is that it's Thana that's not pulling through, so I need some help choosing a good replacement. Chase perk, slowdown or something else?

Lethal Pursuer. Good Perk on Legion, gives you the information where to go - first, where Survivors are and, equally important, how many Survivors are at the specific Spawn so that you end up in an area with multiple Survivors.

    I'm using:

    • Corrupt Intervention - I like it very much cause it buys me guaranteed 2 min gen defense (which i can't say about ruin, cause in my game it never last more than 3 min and usually goes of in 1st min so i don't run it) and forces survivors to move on my side. Also it pushes them to make mistakes, cause survivors usually greed on gens and leave me with 3 very close to each other gens in late game so it's easier to defend.
    • Pop - basic kick is very very weak, so i think it's a must have to pressure gens.
    • Thana - at least once in a game all 4 survivors are injured so it's a decent slowdown perk.
    • Nurses - while it's a gamble, it saved me so many times and help's me find survivors very fast.

Swap Thana for Bamboozle and either Pop or Surge for Corrupt.

I'd change Surge for Corrupt (Surge itself is a good shout though, it's pretty good on him). That's literally my build. Thana 100% pulls it's weight here.

Though I do use double duration add-ons whenever I can 🏃

That is actually a pretty good build. I use Thana, POP and BBQ on my Legion. But instead of Surge, I use Corrupt. I'm actually gonna try Surge on my Legion.

I just got her today, and yeah...I immediately feel like Lethal scales on her better than most of the killers I play, at least.

A fiew Legion builds i enjoyed:

Ruin/retribution/undying or devour hope/agitation or thana

The slow down legion: dying light/thana/remember me/mind breaker or pop

    Devour hope/undying/brutal strength/spirit furry

    Surge/pop/mind breaker/devour hope

All in all i love to use devour hope/undying on legion, mind braker is fun too, pop and surge are good, thana forces them to heal or take the slowdown, ruin helps you to see if they just left the gen and its at least 10 secs theyll lose while mending (which is like 20 secs pf work or something)

  • Legion literally has nothing in the 1v1 chase and that's why you see a lot of legion's use enduring and bamboozle.

Personally i would highly recommend bamboozle because legion's vault in feral frenzy is bugged that causes him to lose speed when vaulting, and bamboozle helps compensate for this.

I run Brutal Strength- Corrupt- BBQ- Whispers on my Legion

Not gonna lie, Legion kind of desperately needs something to help them out during their standard chases after using Frenzy. Something like Brutal Strength, Enduring, EndFury, Bamboozle, Play With Your Food, possibly Coup De Grace. Any of those have potential, but which one works for you changes a bit depending on what else you're running.

Double that since... 3/4 of your current build doesn't go off without a down. I personally would replace Surge with some sort of chase perk.

    Ruin, pop, discorance/thana/tinkerer.

Ruin and pop is gen defense, ones the strongest the others backup.

Discorance gives info, great early game to get more thana stacks.

Thana, easy to slow down game as you injure easy

Tinkerer, info perk, works great with ruin.

Obviously you can only have 4 but these are my top 4

Perks that give oblivious and indetectable are also pretty good as long as you're aware that killer instinct from FF will be worse.

Just try to have perks that you have control over when the effect happens.

So trail of torment or dark devotion and not tinkerer

Sometimes Surge and PGTW can ######### themself up.

I think Legion is stronger with Ruin+Undying, or Ruin+PGTW. Ruin+Thana makes kinda the difference sometimes.

    I go Corrupt+Ruin+Thana+PGTW/Undying

BBQ, Pop, Surge, Thrilling is a nice build. Thrilling helps show you where to place your pop since BBQ is not always consistent. If you’re using thrilling, you could consider switching bbq out for a different one or keep both in, as they work a little different. My buddy used this build and had the highest win percent I’ve ever heard of with legion.

Legion is an M1 killer who has nothing to help them down. Bring a perk to help you in the chase to secure that M1. Bamboozle, I’m all ears, etc.

My favorite build on Legion is Enduring + Spirit Fury, Surge, and any perk of your choice, and that's it. The last perk can be BBQ if you want bloodpoints, Bamboozle if you need extra chase to down a survivor, or it can be PGTW if you need more slowdown.

Stacking chase perks on Legion is the way to go, since it allows Legion to handle chases decently while still being able to use his wonderful utility power.

People always say this but i personally don't like chase perks that much.

It's not that Legion can't use them but (imo) they are generally so bad i find it better to just run something else and rely on pure m1 mindgames to get downs.

The only chase perk i would concidder using is enrelenting

Thana is his best perk. Replace BBQ with Discordance. Also You can replace Surge with corrupt if it's still not enough

If you want to get the best use outta Thana you need to pair it with another perk that either A) suppresses gens further or B) Allows you to keep people injured or know when they are healing.

Nurse's Calling, Sloppy Butcher, and Dying Light can cover that.

    BBQ is fine

Pop and Surge do not have any synergy so I would replay Surge with something else

Personally, I tend to run Thana, Ruin, Surveillance, Pop/Nurse's calling

Do not listen to him about thana.

Legion is the best killer to keep people injured. That's why thana is his best perk. If people are healing you already won and you don't need any perks. If they don't - congratz. You just wasted 3 perk slots

    Her

Also, what the heck are you on about? Where in your mind did my post go that made you think I said anything about NOT using Thana. I literally gave suggestions on how to maximize the benefit.

  • landromat
    landromat Member Posts: 2,193

you don't need to maximise benefit of thana of legion because of how good legion is at keeping survivors injured. Any perk you add to thana is just a wasted perk slot and missed gen regression option. If you want to consistenly win, of course

My favorite perk combo on weak m1 killers is Pop, Surge and Eruption. If you pop a gen that had a lot of progress, survivors will want to come back to the gen after you leave. Eruption protects those gens when you're committing to chases further away. It's especially nice when you have a solid 3 gen going. I would definitely replace Thana with this.

The fourth perk is up to you. I'm assuming you're using BBQ for the bloodpoints but I recommend Tinkerer or even Thrilling if you're using a gen defense build. Tinkerer is especially good here since you'll be able to more accurately determine if you can get a down to activate Eruption before the gen gets finished.

Bamboozle, Surge, Enduring and BBQ is usually what I run with.

The problem is high MMR survivors don’t fall for mind games in M1 chases. So that becomes an unviable strat once you hit a certain MMR.

  • Sonzaishinai
    Sonzaishinai Member Posts: 7,976

Fair, but how much is bamboozle going to help then?

won't high mmr survivors just leave to a different tile when you go for vaults?

  • Duskk
    Duskk Member Posts: 92

bamboozle can force high MMR survivors away from tiles they can exploit though. If a survivor is at a god jungle gym, you can bamboozle the window and force them to use pallet or make them rotate to a T-Lwall or to a more unsafe loop. You can use it to zone them from the god loops. (Although god pallets/loops shouldn’t be in the game in the first place IMO) but that’s a whole diff story.

Did you not see the part where I said:

    A) suppresses gens further

    And the suggested the following

Nurse's Calling, Sloppy Butcher, and Dying Light

I don't know if you're trying to be a troll, have poor reading comprehension, or just want to be jerk. Whatever the case may be, take that mess somewhere else.

I go heavier on chase perks with Legion. They have good built in slowdown and tracking through Feral Frenzy. I'd adjust your build to Corrupt Intervention/Pop/Bamboozle/Brutal and see how you like it.

For normal games, I personally use Nurse's Calling, Franklin's Demise, Pop Goes The Weasel, and Whispers.

Nurse's Calling is good for locating Survivors injured by your power. If you play a decent Legion, and the Survivors aren't super confident in their chase abilities, they will likely spend a lot of time healing. Franklin's Demise is my go-to perk against Survivor items, especially med-kits and flashlights. Pop Goes The Weasel is obviously for slowing down gens, and Whispers helps me quickly locate Survivors at the beginning of the game.

I also have a meme build I enjoy, nicknamed the "Actually Terrible Terror Radius" build.

Perks: Overwhelming Presence, Coulrophobia, Unnerving Presence, Thanatophobia

Add-ons: Iridescent Button and Etched Ruler (Optional).

Basically, just injure as many Survivors as you can, and use your power just about any time it's available. While using your power, ALL survivors, no matter where they are, suffer from 50% slower healing speed, 100% faster item consumption rate, 10% increased Skill Check trigger odds, and 60% smaller Skill Check areas. If all the Survivors are injured, they also suffer from 20% slower repair/sabotage/cleanse action speed. If you wanna be an even bigger A-hole, you can replace Overwhelming Presence or Thanatophobia with Hex: Huntress Lullaby, and watch as Survivors fail skill checks constantly.

Most likely won't win you any games, but it will probably ruin at least one person's day.
