New build to change things up: Hookbreaker
- Breakdown
- Deliverance
- Boil Over
- Borrowed Time
Item:
- Toolbox with sabo speed buffs
Offering:
- Petrified Oak
Strategy:
Pick a corner and find the 3 nearest hooks to 99% sabo them. When someone is downed make sure you're nearby to get that Deliverance activated. Then either work on the nearest gen to your corner (but don't use your toolbox) or bait the killer into the corner so your buddy can get away. When you see the killer coming your way make sure you have plenty of time to sabo all 3 hooks and make it into the corner. The killer will pick you up and look around for a hook. Usually they drop you because they know they won't make it, especially with Boil Over. If they are salty they will camp your slugged body. If not they'll take off to find other survivors. Either way, you'll have wasted a decent chunk of time.
Of course you're reliant on your teammates to be gen jockeys. Otherwise you're just wasting time.
Breakdown, Boil Over and Deliverance are especially useful for end game plays when there's only one hook near an open exit gate or there's been 2-3 sacrifices and some hooks are permanently lost.

If u take away the objective of the Killer u can make the game pretty boring, especially if the killer is experienced and wants to win.
But I know how funny it is to "bully" a Killer with his hooks lol.
The thing with sabotage is that the fun is only on one side. I hate if survivors do that to me, but I do that sometimes aswell. Am I a hypocrite?

Tutorial: How to get slugged and bleed out on the floor
Most players dont enjoy this type of gameplay, but if you are into that, then thats a good strategy yeah

How to make everyone an unfun game 101.1

Sometimes this works. But even when it does the survivor that did all the sabotaging will get very little in the way of rewards. Breaking a few hooks and then sitting around bleeding out doesn't exactly give very many bloodpoints. There are plenty of ways for this to go wrong too. If you get found before the hooks are prepped, if you get grabbed while trying to break the hooks, if the other survivors get hooked too far away for you to rescue and drag the killer to your corner, if the killer doesn't take your bait, if the killer is using iron grasp or hangmans trick, etc, etc, etc. This strategy is the definition of high risk and low reward. But go ahead...

Yikes at all the salt. Killers can slug, face camp, do Doc 3-gen camps, LF Insidious, etc etc and those are all LeGiT sTrAtS but this is toxic and unfun0

As a killer, I could care less if survivors try this strategy. I just wrote that it is a bad strategy for the player doing it. High risk, low reward. But if you are having fun then knock yourself out.

I wasn't responding to you in particular. And once in a while I do it for fun. Maybe like 3 games in a row out of 200 just to shake things up. And yeah I usually get like 10k BP and camped. But more often than not all 3 of the others get out.Dreamnomad said:@brokedownpalace said:

Yeah I understand you like to shake things up with a fun build but to be honest. If a entire period if a entire 4 Squad uses something like this...
It for one won't be fun for the Killer because they'll basically be reduced to slugging. Depending on the killer you don't want that to happen. Not to mention that when the killer knows what you're doing. Your entire Squad is doomed. Because there's nothing Stopping You killer from just slugging you. Then immediately going to check up on your friends Downing one after the next until you all just bleed out on the ground. God forbid if the killer has knockout or other or a related perks and abilities. I understand you want to shake things up but you need to have a build that makes.you self-sustaining. This build relies too heavily on teammates that you might not even be in a party with. It's a cool concept but it can easily backfire. I can't even call it toxic because it's a lot easier to beat than you might think0
