Sadly not, because the skill required to counter her is by the survivor side and not yours.

I only have one condition for playing her - as long as the phasing tell is "non-directional", I'm totally okay with playing her.
I don't mind survivors knowing she's phasing. Leaves the stand still mind-game still an option, but the survivors will know she's blinded either way and have more options.
(Otz had a good suggestion where a Phasing spirit should blink in and out of vision occasionally that can be explored)

I probably wouldn't play her anymore, to be honest.
But then again, the Spirit that I really loved was the old, stronger Spirit from back in the day. She became a lot less interesting to me the moment they removed her collision and gave her a vaulting animation.

If she plays the way I'm imagining. I would say I'll only play Spirit if they revert back Stridor which is fair now in Spirit's current state.

Yes! I will definitly try to play her now that she isn't cheap bs without counterplay anymore. I always liked her design and lore.
@TheGannMan Do you and most other Spirit mains feel good your favorite killer is fair now? I've seen mixed reactions the past days. I hope for you she will still be viable and you can enjoy her, but just more skilled and less hated by survivors (including me lol).
Edit: I also think we will now see who mained her because of the love for the character and who mained because how OP she was.

I just got bored with Spirit after playing her so long. I am currently playing killers I have less experience with.
Keeps it a bit more fresh for me

If DBD returns to be the game that I fell in love with back in 2018, then yes, I will come back.

Yeah I’ve been wanting her to be balanced for a while even as someone that would die for her. I’m glad she’s going to be rebalanced and has a higher skill ceiling and I do think she’ll be fair with this change. I’m mainly worried about Iron Will as I feel like they will be impossible to down.

Honestly doubt that’s happening. Maybe I’m wrong and they can build off of this amazing upcoming midchapter and make it the game you love again.

I doubt it too.
It is quite a sad ending for someone who once deeply loved this game, but it is the truth. DBD used to provide me with a level of enjoyment that no other game could, but the reworks and changes ruined it bit by bit.
In order for me to return, lots of things would have to make a comeback. And you and I both know that this is very unlikely.

Yeah I also can imagine it must suck to see your favorite killer get hated so much while it isn't your fault she's designed like that. I hope the changes will both satisfy killers and survivors and still keep her in high tier. I mostly play survivor atm but I wouldn't want to see Spirit get gutted because that also would suck.

Yeah it is sad. I’m hoping that they’ll bring back old Freddy because I really want to try him out. Never gotten to play as or against him.

I would be very happy if she wasn’t S tier anymore tbh. A tier or B tier will be my fine with me and as long as I can still do well with her and have fun with her then I will be happy. It might take me and everyone else a bit and to get used to her new power but I’m sure it will all be good.

It is extremely unfortunate that you missed him. The experience that he provided was extremely fun for both sides. Unmatched to this day.
Hopefully, you will have a chance eventually. As unlikely as it is.

Maybe at the very least they can make an brown add on that let’s you play as old Freddy’s power. Maybe it can be a bloodpoint add on.

Knowing the devs, I doubt that will ever happen. Freddy and Billy are probably stuck in their unfun states forever.

I think people are kidding themselves if they think even half of the people who main Spirit do so because they actually like Spirit. They main her because she's has the lowest skill requirement to get the highest results. They'll ditch her the second people can counterplay her and jump ship to the next strongest thing that isn't too difficult. Either they'll migrate to Blight, or something like Oni.

She is definitely not a free win anymore and good survivors actually have a chance against her instead of the ######### stand still mindgames and literally playing 50/50s. I'm glad she got nerfed, it was incredibly needed as she was a S tier killer that required almost no skill compared to the other S tier killers (nurse and blight). I'll maybe consider actually playing her more now.

She's never been my main. She won't even be a consideration if they literally make her power outright bad as they're doing now. She'll be added to the list of killers I never play like Trapper, Myers, and Ghostface. Clown unironically will have a more functional power than her.

I'll probably end up playing her more because chases will actually be interesting. Just hope they revert the stridor nerf but that probably won't happen :/

Old Freddy was just an m1 killer tho- i played old Freddy and i don't find the fun in him, yes when you're putting the survivor in the dream world there's that cool technique i know, but after that? You're an m1 killer, you're a clown with no bottle, a pig with no dash, sure if you like to play as and against m1 killer, then i guess he's fun? But that's it, i really don't see the appeal
