It really bothers me that...
My choice when confronted with a DBD cheat user is to either walk away from the game while they waste N minutes of my time, or leave the game and suffer the disconnect penalty.
I love the game, but damn BHVR, your inaction on this matter is making it harder to return each time.

My solution wouldn't help save that much time, but I believe we need a surrender option at 10 minutes. That way, you can still keep your bloodpoints and leave without an escalating penalty.
That would be ideal for the higher rated players who run into cheaters more frequently, at least. It would also solve the hatch stand off problem too.

I like the idea of a "Surrender" option, because in addition to cheaters just not being fun to play against they can also lock the game so the Killer can't leave unless they DC and in one case my game crashed when I tried to do even that.
On another matter though, "hatch standoff"? That's not a thing any more, the Killer can close the Hatch if they find it first. Sure you may be worried about an Adrenaline play if they are wounded but if you're patrolling the exit gates that shouldn't be too much of a problem.

It could work, but possible hostage for survivors. i.e one not surrendering. Or swfs purposefully surrendering to troll solo queue.
How would it work for killers who could abuse it?

and hacking is just getting worse. It's so bad now that I am starting to compare it to the growing toxicity in the game. Straight up getting ignored, even after it's a very big problem.

It absolutely is getting worse. I'm seeing some variation of obvious cheats at least every 1 of 15 games or so. More on the weekends.
