Get rid of penalty
This has no place in a game whatsoever for players who quit or dc or have some kind of accident it needs to to and go asap. Won't support this game who puts a penalty in a game

It keeps players from prematurely leaving matches because something didn’t go their way. I know things happen and you get disconnected unintentionally and it does suck but it’s just part of it.

If you have an accident or emergency that necessitates you having to stop playing immediately, I doubt a little five minute disconnect penalty will matter.
If you're back online and ready to play less than five minutes later, it hardly was a big emergency.

It also forces people to eat penalties from cheaters who take the game hostage. It is about time we got a surrender button at 10 minutes.

Accidents or emergencies shouldn't happen often, so a 5 minute timeout should be the least of their worries.
People quitting deserve to get punished for their actions.

People who want to quit should have a right to I payed so there shouldn't be no bs in a game like this get rid of the penalty keep it the way it was before was fine

DC penalties shouldn't exist as long as they have rampant cheaters in the game.

It was not fine before the penalties people used to DC for no reason. I also payed for the game as well as others have payed for the game and have the right to a full normal game not get my experience and others experience ruined because some people can’t play a full match without rage quitting.

Everybody else in the match also paid to play the game. Stop being so self centered and thinking your entitled to ruin the game for everybody just because you did what everybody else has also done.

It's funny to me, saying you paid for the game and you should be able to leave with out a penalty pretty sure cheaters have paid for the game as well. Why can't they have the right to cheat?

You have the right to quit a match, you will just have to take the penalty for it, since you are deliberately leaving 3 other people to pick up the slack you leave behind for them.
THings can happen irl that can make you need to leave a match, that is the reason why the penalty increases with each disconnect / leave because i do not believe you can have an accident every 5-10 minutes, and if there is something that you will need to look after every few minutes you shouldnt be playing.

My dear irresponsible child, when u go online u agree to respect others and accept certain rules. If u think u are more important than anyone else and have right to throw things away because u are not interested in them, then u are completely wrong and should be punished even harder than just 5min penalty. Welcome to the 21st century.

A good portion of the game's other 'paying' customers tends to disagree upon having the course of their games screwed over because someone threw a digital tantrum. Far too many players took advantage of the 'taking my ball and going home' because they couldn't lose with grace, or because they don't like the killer, or because that jake had a flashlight blah blah blah insert childish excuse here.
You DO have the option and freedom to disconnect, it just means you'll have to deal with actual consequences. The penalty is so small that you have to be REALLY abusing it to get so wound up about a system that has most certainly worked. The DC rate has dropped dramatically since the penalties were introduced. Penalties in games are not new and I highly doubt they are going anywhere.
But hey, i'd give up disconnect penalties and swap it out for a salt mines any day!

No because other players that paid the game too should have right to have fun without crybabies that dc for "not fun killer"!
