Weirdest salt you've ever gotten?
Got this salt a few days ago on a match where i ended up doing 2 gens completely by myself, we got a 3 man escape and the killer proceeded to say this in response to me using prove thyself. Gotta be the weirdest perk i've ever seen anybody complain to me about besides lightborn.
How about you guys? Whats the weirdest salt you've ever gotten?

Got called a cigarrete butt amd had someone ask if I thought I tried hard enough when I got a 4K as a lvl 1 Doctor running only basic M&A. I'd actually felt pretty prpud pf myself for veing able to end all my chases in seconds since the Survivors kept trying to do loops and I was able to do stalls with the shock and get easy hits

I was playing survivor one time and everybody escaped whilst a survivor was on 2nd stage hook and the killer got mad at us for not trying to save them

There was this one time there was this team of Dwights. I don't think I necessarily did anything bad, I think they called me a camper. Probably kept running to the hooked guy and so I chased them.
Anyway, they mashed me calling me like camper and spammed me with some random stuff for a few minutes. It was some time ago, but I think it was them spamming random letters. They have up and I msgd something cordial back. (Pretty sure it was cordial). No response naturally.

I've been accused of being sweaty for running the taxi build. Also been called a hacker/cheater for the same build.

I was once given salt for not saving them from a hook, even though the Trapper had walked safely away. I was accused of just hiding in a locker on Midwich for an easy win. They were probably right for that survivor, but since I was the one playing Trapper I couldn't tell...
Also, had salt from someone because I was hooked for the first time with one other survivor alive, who hid in an area through both stages until I died, but then the killer found them by the trapdoor, closed it and killed them. Apparently, I should have suicided so they should have escaped. I'm not suiciding from a killer on my first hook, especially since the killer had played fairly throughout and didn't camp.

Something actually somewhat similar happened to me about a month ago. I totally forget what i did during the match that angered him so much, but he proceeded to nonstop spam my comment section with stuff like this for the entire day. He was still commenting stuff by the time i woke up in the morning.

Way back when PS messages were still turned on, there was a match where the first person chased (no hooks yet, no gens done) jumped into a locker mid-chase, and when pulled out they disconnected. Then they sent a message saying the devs said tunneling is cheating, stop tunneling. I think they threatened a report/ban as well.

Anytime some self proclaimed 'comp' or 'ex-comp' player loses and challenges me to a 1v1 I always find it a bit weird. 1v1s in DBD when you take out the other elements are dumb
run to pallet, drop pallet instantly and play around it. Rinse and repeat until the killer eventually gets you
Gives me a good laugh every time though.

Someone wrote on my steam profile that I was the worst teammate ever and threw a lot of hate on there as to why.
It was only my first or second game ever, I had never played it before. Never touched the Steam version since and bought it on ps4 instead, then xbox, then Switch. My god I must love the salt if I want to recieve it on all platforms lol.

Got a bunch of voice messages from a guy because I body blocked a hook at end game. Told me to ######### and other things..

Also this one guy who called me a streamsniper because he ran into the basement and I down/grabbed him(I think grabbed him from a locker?) And hooked him.i

One player sandbagged me the entire match because I failed a healing skill check once. The killer wasn't even close and he started running, then the rest of the match he just blocked me from dropping pallets.

I had a Laurie throw an absolute crap fit because I 'denied her unhook points'.
Both other survivors had left through the gates, I saw her running towards my hook, where my kindred very clearly revealed the camping spirit with NOED. Now in these cases I will sacrifice myself, because it's just not a situation anybody was going to win, better three escape than just two, and she didn't have NOED.
I've had some nasty things said to me the first year I played (long since turned off messages) but that one made me scratch my head. Pretty sure you get more points from escaping than you would a failed attempt at an unsafe hook lol

I was forcing a head pop and the victim DC'd. So whatever, it happens a lot, nothing strange there. I get a message about how this seemingly unrelated player says they recorded the match and will send it to "Behavior Headquarters" to get me banned for holding the game hostage. And then I got a similar message from someone else. Apparently it was the victim, but I didn't recognize the name for some reason. Lol.
I digress, the first person had "Ms" in their name, so I responded to the random with a, "yeah, yeah, your girlfriend already told me." And then this is gold, he/she says, "that is my mom, you sick [redacted]."
I have seen some weird stuff, bro. I have even been banned for threatening someone I didn't threaten, but this takes the cake.

Probably not the weirdest salt I've ever gotten, but it happened just the other day:
I'm playing Wraith on Storehouse. I was using goofy off-meta perks but the survivors brought 2 BPS so I was feeling pretty charitable towards them. Then I got my first down really quickly and she insta-DCed, so I started feeling REALLY charitable towards them. I went out of my way to be as chill as possible: Chase and hook the Claudette, then the Kate, then the Dweet. Give them a chance to regroup and heal, then start again with Claudette. No chance they were gonna do all the gens, but at least they got something resembling a normal game that would earn them a lot of points.
Gets to the end of the match and I bring Dweet to the hatch, except that he crawls away from it. So I shrug, kill him, and wish them ggs. The Dweet then goes on some incredibly long rant about how bad I suck. I won't reprint it here; no doubt most of you have heard the same kinda things more than a few times.
Still not sure what peeved him off so bad. Guess he just needed a punching bag to vent on. Except in this case the punching bag was laughing its butt off at his attempts to land a hit. I figure that's just about the only way to fail at punching a bag.
So yeah... that was interesting.

Was playing 3swf. Random got hooked and face camped by Billy so we just focused on gens. None of us ran BT so attempting to save just wasn't worth it. When random died I got a friend request while still in match, they used loophole on ps to send me message through friend request since I had my messages turned off. Was just simple "expletive coward." My favorite part is that my two swf teammates didn't get anything and they have their messages turned on. Apparently it was just my fault they weren't unhooked and they were so mad that they used ps work around to send me angry message. 😂

Mega rant about 4 man swf with 4x deadhard etc. while I actually played solo and had flipflop/ power struggle/ unbreakable/ tenacity😅 Got told to shut up when I pointed that out. After that he kept complaining!
Killer;
Yesterday I learned that picking trickster is a crime and makes you a bad human being.🤣 They also thought they were really smart to split all the swear words in 2 messages so they wouldn't get blocked. It just went on for so long.... maybe because useless trickster nearly killed all 4 if it wasn't for the hatch. I still love trickster.🤩

Weirdest/Funniest for me was a survivor getting mad at my combining Barbecue & Chili and Infectious Fright. The salt might have been warranted had I not been using them on Freddy, whose own power negates I.F.'s usefulness (I like to run Freddy with TR perks as a "stupid build".

Was going for doctor adept and someone brought an anniversary cake. I was also doing the break x amount of gens.
I purposely 2 hooked everyone, and even dropped chases to kick gens, ignored people to get the ones that hadnt been hooked. Let everyone go so they got the points from the cake.
Sent a gg to the only other xbox player and got back 'get gud 🤩😋🤩😋🤩😋🤩😋🤩😋'
And people wonder why killers sometimes go out of there way to be #########

“If I wasn’t playing chill I’d ######### on you” from a Nurse running four slowdown perks, lol.
Also had a streamer throw a fit about “gen rushing” and when I watched his VOD back the match was like 10 minutes long.

Agitation + Iron Grasp + Mad Grit. Lets you carry Survivors at a little under 110% movement speed, lets you attack with zero attack cooldown if you miss an attack while carrying someone, and pauses the wiggle timer briefly if the attack connects.

I often get the "sweaty SWFs" comment for getting competent teammates during SoloQ although I don't really run any meta perks. Amongst other things, I've been told I'm a coward for hiding because the Killer doesn't chase me when the Killer doesn't commit to me for whatever reason and I've been sandbagged constantly under the premise that I'm a bad teammate even if I generators, go to rescues and take hits/hooks for other players.
As for very bad experiences, I once had a full SWFs running old Object of Obsession and bringing a Mary's Letter offering say I'm trash for only getting a Kill... like the map doesn't handicap me enough I had to deal with them knowing exactly where I was all of the time. And, in a different occasion, I had someone insult me for using the Pride flag Charm and call me slurs on the chat after they were hooked in the basement during EGC and the Killer decided to camp.

Accused of being a hacker by a premade, I hooked a guy in the basement and checked one locker where the other remaining survivor was and hooked and 4K. I just checked the locker just in case and she was there, haha.

I got accused of being a hacker by a streamer because they didnt understand blood warden and the Kruger addons, so I told them they lacked reading comprehension. Then I was accused of saying they were illiterate.....which seemed they wanted to play the victim card from the start.

I always have the same story to tell every time this gets asked. It doesn't get old either. Long time ago when I played the game, someone was mad about me using my hammer instead of my chainsaw as Hillbilly, so he calls me a "M1 Billy" like that's some sort of insult against me. Survivors complain about the darndest things.

I got salt with Clown once for dropping the survivor when the last popped so I could get Rancor value but before I could mori, they DC'd. The weirdest part of the salt was I got accused of teaming with the other survivor so I could mori them as if I dead stopped in the middle of the game to check on my steam if the other player was PC, message them and be like "Yo help me locate your teammate I want my Rancor value. Help me out homie pls" then went onward when in reality, I saw scratches and heard them doing bones.

90% of the salt I see as a killer has been survivors yelling at each other, actually, not at me - I always feel I stumbled into a 'domestic situation'.
The other 10% is a pretty even mix of someone saying I camped despite it being a chased survivor who led me back to the hook, accusations of slugging (which are usually fair, especially if I'm accidentally chasing someone who got farmed), and people pissed at me for refusing to kill them when they offer themselves - I want my 11 hooks, I'm not going to kill off the weak link just because their friend on comms found hatch.

Chick invites me to a party (she was the killer) just keeps spamming me with invites, finally I join, she calls me toxic, I explain how I did nothing toxic and then just silence for a few seconds.... SHE PUT HER MOM ON THE MIC TO YELL AT ME XD WHO KNOWS NOTHING OF THE GAME!!! I've never ugly laughed so hard in my life

Doctor before his rework - literally the first month of his release when you had to switch to "treatment mode" just to do the regular shock, and shock did not have the pacify effect it has now. It literally just caused screams and madness. I reasoned it's purpose was the check hiding spots since it went through walls. Thus, I used it to check hiding spots through objects.
After one 4k, I had this chucklenut ######### that "the only reason I beat him is I could easily find him with my lame shock power."
.... I kid you not
Um... dude... that's literally Doctor's thing at release. He sucked at the chase in exchange for the ability to find anybody at any time. He literally deletes stealth from the game as compensation for his at release garbage chase ability......

i get salt almost every match for stuff that didnt even happen. Just yesterday i had a surv insult me and complain for camping even though i tried my best to avoid it in that match. they even escaped. anything generates salt so i didnt even remember the weirdest salt i recieved.

A French comp player in a SWF telling me Alchemist Ring is op while running 2BNP and 2 ranger medkits. Also running 4DS, 4DH, Prove Thyself and a map offering. Pretty sure they complained because I won ngl, a terrible 900 hours blight against a 9k hours per players SWF comp team
