Can somebody please tell me why i can't change the killer while waiting? I want so level them.
Who ever thought this could be a good idea?

They made that change because of SBMM/MMR
Each killer has their own 'MMR' so they don't let you swap between them while in que because they need to use your MMR for that specific killer

Because of the SBMM which is working in the Background for Matchmaking. Each of your Killers has a specific Rating to them, so the game is searching for Survivors at around that level.
If you would be able to switch, you could queue up with your weakest Killer and switch to your strongest Killer once a Lobby was found to have an easy game.
