So i decided to play a few rounds as billy since i missed him
Rcpd twice and lerys once. Also multiple ghost saws and my chainsaw bumping on seemingly nothing. Probably best to keep him shelfed tbh. I was honestly hoping with him being revealed as one to get addon buffs itd be more then two and the buffs was just to make sure you don't overheat with engravings. Unfortunate. Hows everyone else hopefully doing that plays billy?

Sadly, he's one of the Killers that were made fun to play against, but not to play as. And yes, you can still make some insane plays, but they mostly rely on Survivors being ignorant/cocky/not expecting them, at least from a personal experience.

They even made engravings take longer to charge if what i saw was true. 12% to 14% Take it with a grain of salt as i have not fact checked it.

I play him sometimes, honest one simple change (reduce charge time by a small %) would make him good again, the fact it takes so long to charge hurts your curves, it just makes you have to mindgame 5x more to get that curve.
Sure curving is cool and you feel good landing them, but damn the time wasted. I miss versing billy as I haven't seen him in months, playing him is... stressful? Unrewarding? Just not how it should be

I think it was always like that. But they buffed it so with double engravings you won’t overheat as much

He's obsolete. Ruined by FOV, hit validation and bad addons. They left him rotting for more than 1 year and what do they do to him? Make Engravings less of a pain to use and an addon that only works when you overheat.
Play Blight instead. The fact they did an addon pass to him and kept his busted ones (Ring, Compound 33, speed addons) show it's him the devs want you to play.

Is it so difficult for BHVR to revert Freddy and Billy?
Isn't it obvious that the absolute majority of the community want their old versions back?
I refuse to believe that not a single complaint has been acknowledged since those two failures, that cannot even be called "reworks", dropped.

I still find Hillbilly fun to play as, and it's surprising how many niche run lines you can find as him. Also, still fine at one-shotting survivors if timed right.
The nerf to Hillbilly by BHVR is still one of the most needless and ridiculous changes they ever did, especially since at the same time they did the nerf they said Hillbilly was where they wanted him to be performance-wise! He was always fun to face, and a shame I don't see more of him, although at least - from my matches anyway - he hasn't completely vanished like The Twins have (which is another shame).

Hillbilly is fun to play. However, I have to use Shadowborn on him, this helped me a lot, I had huge troubles with his changed FoV and changed animations, but Shadowborn helps with it.
But you can be sure that the first Map I get will be Hawkins all the time. As Add-Ons (I actually use them now...), I use Engravings and the brown Muffler to do a little bit against the Overheat, but luckily this will probably not be necessary anymore after the Midchapter-Patch when they buff Engravings.

I think we can all agree at least that old Billy needs to comeback. But I would also want the same for your boy.

A pity that nothing has been done yet. Freddy and Billy deserve better than to be left in their unfun versions forever.

When I play as Billy or against him, there’s no excitement at all.

Funnily enough, one of my last trials before I left DBD was against a Billy.
It was oddly refreshing to see a Billy after so long, but cannot be compared to facing Billy in the past.

I don’t understand why they can’t just give the option for players to pick between Original Freddy and Current Freddy, especially since Original Freddy was deemed weak. It shouldn’t ruffle anyones feathers and can only make players happy.

I played a couple of matches with him on the PTB and his add-ons are still garbage as i expected.
They lazily raised up the numbers on Mother's Helpers and Tuned Carburetor without realizing what makes them bad in the first place.
Black Grease was turned into another weird ass, situational charge add-on.
Pighouse Gloves is basically a meme add-on now.
The heat reduction on the Engravings is okay but it doesn't really change the fact that overheat is a bad mechanic to begin with and your charge time is way too slow.
No fix to his buggy animations yet.
These stubborn changes do next to nothing to make players want to pick up Billy again, and sadly, i expect nothing to change for the live release...
