What counts as win without escaping

It's hard to find a title but what i mean is let's say the killer chases you for about 3 gens and body blocks you would you count that as a win because you made the killer that mad and what else counts as win without escaping as a survivor.

Making a killer mad isnt my goal at all, to me a win is if I had fun. If I escaped but I was on gens the whole match it's a loss in my book. If the killer got mad from me looping them, then I may have won if I had fun in the chase.

I think escaping is the only win. Even if your friends all die.

  • Winning and losing is defined by the music on the match result for me. So for survivor it's escaping only and for killer it's brutal killer and above.

However if you get to iri 1 as killer, you will always get brutal killer at least... so i always win:)

If the killer is playing unfair i consider hiding the whole time making him search for me forever without trying to escape its not fun sometimes but you really piss off some players doing that and if they get pissed imo thats a win. Mind you I have only done this when they are doing stuff like slugging and watching people bleed out with out a hook. Its just a time waster so i make it my plan to waste their time

I dont really care about winning or loosing neither i define it for me personally.

If i had to define it, then 3-4 K as killer is a win. In contrast, 3-4 survivor escapes would be a win, no matter if i personally escape or not.

If I had fun, it's a win. Same goes for playing Killer.

If all three of my teammates escape, I count that as a win regardless of whether or not I escape.

Well, considering escape grants you immunity to minus pip or +1/2, it is most certainly the only condition of winning.

Either 20K bps earned, surviving until all 5 gens are done or being the last survivor left alive.

I think its personal as to what a win is for you. For me if its not an escape then id say getting a pip.

From a hollistic perspective though, a close game where ive managed to outplay a good killer with near misses etc. Makes me feel like a win rather than a dead game where i escape.

1+/2+ pips is a win in my book!

I'd also say being top of the BP totals at the end of the trial as survivor is a big win too.

You can pretend getting face camped and beaten on hook is a win, lots of survivors do that to feel better.

Sacrificing your self for another's escape

I think self sacrifice is always a victory. I never feel like i lost if i died getting my teammates out, same goes for performing really well during the trial and being the majority reason your team escapes. I love escaping like anybody else, but the true victory is when i see my fellow survivors get out.

I would say getting plenty of points. I've gotten near-max points in plenty of games without escaping, but that big 5k points you get from escaping is quite nice. Same for Killer, as long as I get plenty of points I'm happy regardless of the outcome.

Its not because you get chase by the killer for 3 gen that he is mad. Some people specially when they see a survivor being good in chase the like to trow the game so they can get better.

Dying and getting the most bloodpoints despite everyone else escaping is the most satisfying thing imo.

A non escape win in my opinion is something like this, i take the killer on a big chase and my death lets the rest of the team escape. Or just a few fun chases where i feel genuinely challenged and not just like i got screwed out of a chance to even earn enough points to black pip because i get tunneled out of the game at 5 gens.

    I consider wins as:

-escaping (with my team alive or not)

-saving someone but dying instead of them so they’re guaranteed to escape

-killing myself on hook if my teammate finds hatch

    -getting saves

-wasting the killer’s time while using as little ressources as possible

(yeah I play Steve of course I’d rather die for the team)

Nothing. At best, a pip is a consolation prize.
