ever since mmr has come out all i’ve gone up against it sweatlords or idiots that barely know the game.

high level mmr is just camping, slugging at 5 gens, sweatlords that run good addons and people that just make the game unfun.

every match is the same, just sweatlords with with ruin undying and top tier add ons.

even steam charts has showed that the player base has dropped since mmr, a lot of streamers ect have stopped playing due to it. i don’t wanna just verse sweatlords every single game over and over again. it’s not fun.

mmr will kill dbd and you know it.

adding casual/competitive mode may be able to fix it though whilst keeping mmr.

Never thought I would see adding sbmm into this game before new game mode.

Low tier in the community's eyes I am sure, but my negative experience with MMR has just been running into survivors who appear to be deranking. I have run into definitely a mix bag, but the games that make me want to play something else are AFK survivors. Other than that I think the MMR system has improved my experience.

Most games I run into equally skilled survivors, who become non-toxic as they realize that I don't enjoy the tunnel/camp gameplay. And I have come to be cool with 1-2 kills or just lots of hooks and no kills. I just wonder if there is something to do with survivors who ruin the game for everyone by jumping into a random locker and wait for me to find them, or stand there with crows as I give them every chance to join the game.

So, perhaps for someone like me who probably isn't tournament material, the game feels better with MMR aside from certain new issues that seem common in MMR games in general.

I kinda agree on that. SBMM pretty much made every fault the game has super obvious for anyone to see.

There'll probably be just two different outcomes.

    1. They'll remove SBMM again because.. well... it's a band aid and BHVR loves band aids.
    2. They'll completely overhaul the game so SBMM is not a pain in the a**.

Maybe they'll adjust SBMM to make it semi good but that'll just be a band aid again.

I'll stick to option one. Too many of my friends and acquaintances either think about quitting or already have quit DBD because it just has not been fun since SBMM.

MMR makes no sense in a game where Perks/Killer Tiers/SWFs/Fat medkits and toolboxes have THIS much of an impact. That's like reaching Big Gamer rank in some shooter game, but one team would randomly spawn with pistols.

No, poor balance will kill DBD. MMR just brings that to light much easier, now everyone is getting a proper taste of how BS some perks are and how unfun certain things are to go against.

If you don't like something, be vocal about it, MMR COULD be fine if the game had it's issues fixed. MMR is a diagnosis.
